The stuff WORKS! The moment I applied it, the furniture scratching stopped. Completely. I bought this tape to stop the cats from scratching a loveseat then promptly waited A YEAR to try it out because I’ve tried other things before only to be disappointed. Dang if it’s not the, ahem, cat’s meow.

This is a clear two sided tape and it works. Protects my door molding from being torn up. It works wonders!

We recently got a new kitten and a beige couch, so I thought this product would be perfect to protect the back of the couch. We applied it—boom, great! It’s not perfect, but I hoped it would at least discourage our kitty from scratching.Then, to my surprise, my husband peeled off the beige strip—revealing a sticky surface! I was shocked. Now, not only would our kitten stick to the couch, but so would cat hair. So, heads up: the beige layer is removable, leaving a sticky surface underneath. If you don’t want that, make sure to leave the beige layer intact—and maybe give your partner a heads-up, too!

Well worth it! My cats were tearing up the outside corner of my couch and this anti scratch tape saved the day! My husband says “he can see it” but if a guest comes over and they don’t know it’s there or I don’t point it out, they don’t even notice! It’s very thin and has a shiny/clear look (like most tape does) and it sticks very well! Just measure how long you need it to be, cut it with a pair of scissors, peel and stick! It hasn’t come off and most of all my cats DON’T SCRATCH the couch!!!

If you have a kitten. Try it. My kitten didn't care for. But they are determined sometimes. Don't put it on the cat. Just put a strip on the edge or along counter or table. Stick, cut off length. Peel off backing top. Ready. It comes off fairly easy. Just clean area after. It will leave just a bit of stuff. But not as much as regular tape. I've put around my plants on a window table. Doesn't bother now.

We use this tape to help keep our two cats from laying on out white dining room chairs. Its very effective without harming or scolding the cats. It sticks well, but doesnt leave any residue.

This just high-tack double sided clear tape rebranded. (Quick tip for peeling the backer on any double sided tape - before you apply it, fold over a small corner so it sticks to itself. This will give you a corner of the liner paper to grab on to after you apply it.)Why one star? The adhesive is way too aggressive. You can see in the photo it ripped the fabric fibers right off of my Lovesac couch. It did the same to another brand of high end chair. Now it looks like they were scratched by a cat. Luckily I can reverse the Lovesac side, not so much on the other chair. Very glad I tested this in two areas first before I covered more.If this adhesive were lower-tack, like the backing for the plastic carpet protector contractors use, it would still stick enough and not rip the fibers out of your furniture. If you decide to try this one (or any other brand) test a small area on the back of your couch or under a cushion first.

So we adopted a 13 week old kitten from the Humane Society and even though she was small she began probing the couch to use as a scratcher. One of my daughters recommended this double sided tape to prevent the kitten from clawing at the couch. I was skeptical that it would work but the moment I applied the tape to the couch corners the kitten didn’t go near the couch to claw it. She didn’t even try. The tape is visible but doesn’t look gaudy. I saw other companies sold sheets of double sided tape to protect a couch but this roll worked better for me. Simply custom cut to the lengths I needed to fit my sectional couch. Problem solved.
