Needs Grease
These units will work well, and include a remote control, but have problems with cold weather. In below freezing temperatures, the units will not move. This can be remedied by dis-assembling the unit, and placing low temperature grease on on moving parts. Heavy winds will move the antenna, due to the lack of a locking device.This requires resyncing the rotor after wind storms. This is the only grease that works: [ ... ]

Stick with the best
I had this same unit for over 20 years and it finally gave up. No sense trying anyone else out, I am sticking with a product that has been around the block for a awhile and is still in business. Only new features on the new ones are the inside controllers. Amazingly, my inside unit is still working so I only had to buy the outdoor unit. Another plus in that after 20 years, the parts are still interchangeable!
