This filter basket solved a major problem!
The filter basket resolved a major problem with brewing coffee in our house. Let me explain: For the past several months we have struggled with a troubling problem with our coffee maker. The coffee would flow too slowly from the filter basket (containing the filter paper and coffee) into the pot, relative to the water being pumped into the filter. This resulted in the pot overflowing unless we turned off the brewing cycle repeatedly. We never had this problem in the past. We tried everything to resolve it - first we got a new coffee maker (even a different brand), thinking the old one was just too old. That didn't work. We tried different brands of coffee with different grind sizes. We tried making just a half-pot. We put a perforated plastic spacer under the filter paper to prevent the paper from sticking to the basket and hindering flow. I am not even going to go into more detail about many things we tried. Finally we thought it might be the filter paper itself. We had tried several brands of filters, but were not sure they were made by different manufacturers. As a last resort, I found this metal basket on Amazon. Although it is advertised for a Bunn coffee maker, and we were using Mr Coffee, I checked the measurements and it appeared it would fit inside the plastic basket of out coffee maker. The filter arrived the other day. It fit perfectly in the plastic basket allows us to skip the paper filter altogether. It works like a champ. We have made pot after pot of coffee with no problem whatsoever. We are so happy this metal basket has fixed this vexing problem! The root cause was apparently something about the paper filters that hinders the flow of coffee.

Very good quality filter basket
I have been using this basket daily for months now. It is easy to clean and shows no signs of wear. I have no grounds in my coffee which often happened when using paper filters.

Not a fast drip but coffee tastes better.

Everyone should have a reusable basket for their coffee maker
I like this a lot, but my only complaint is coffee grounds seem to find their way into the pot while the regular paper filters doesn't allow the grounds through. Not a deal breaker though, and I think it's something every coffee lover should have at least as a backup. You never know when you find your filters unusable from something like a water leak and you need to buy new ones, but coffee needs to happen now. I do think it makes the coffee taste a little different, maybe stronger? Cleaning it is more involved, but I just keep one of those silicone spatulas and scrap out all the grounds into my compost container and rinse the basket. Decent product, use it all the time!

Not so great or terrible
Coffee is weaker and has grounds in it using this filter. I keep searching for a reusable basket that makes coffee like a standard filter. I will keep this one in case I ever run out of filters.

Recommend
Bought this because my plastic one was left in the RV full of coffee for a month & molded. Couldn't get it clean. Hoped this would be easier to clean. Haven't left this one in the RV (lesson learned?). But, I like this better than plastic, anyway.

A lot of grounds in the coffee.
The filter seemed to be made well, but the water didn't pass through the filter fast enough and a significant amount of coffee grounds overflowed into the pot. Either the filter needs to be dimensionally made higher, or more holes to allow the water to filter through. Useless to me.

Ive got a quirky little coffee maker I picked up at a yard sale and the small paper filters kept folding inwards so I put the grounds into this little device and then set it inside the paper filter as it's just a tad too small and coffee grounds run over the top the the extra paper filter catches those and I get a great cup of coffee every time now - really happy. 😀

Fits Mr. Coffee maker perfectly. Does leave very fine sediment in the bottom of the cup if you use well ground coffee but there is no way a metal filter is going to filter quite as fine as a paper filter. Great to have around if you don't want to use paper filters or run out of paper filters. Just make sure not to drink the dregs at the bottom of your mug.

So far a good product. This is the second one I've bought. It's a little small, though. Could have been a bit bigger to fit a 4-cup coffee maker. That is why I gave it a four.
