AC110V Self Priming Water Pressure Diaphragm Pump - Soft & Noiseless 4.5GPM 17L/min 40Psi for Caravan/RV/Boat/Marine

We bought this pump less than 5 months, getting around 4 total hours run time in cold weather with 38-42 degree water and temps in a very perfectly contained area for cooling, use and it started acting up and within the same day died. The pump started max pumping like it was a wide open pipe, then would go normal again for a while then repeat. Finally after an hour of that, it repeatedly stopped pumping then started randomly until alas it stopped. The motor case is warm, not hot, the filter screen is clear the flow has remained restricted to a 36 psi flow which reduces the max speed which I intentionally did to reduce noise and provide a constant smoother flow rate that didn't cycle and didn't run all out. With all that it still died. I usually have great products and read full reviews to choose, which is why I went with this pump, but it seems the pressure switch is faulty.Update: as Amazon has warned me that my only review, being bad(?), Is against their policy I will leave it and only add I raised it to a 4 star because the company replaced it right away. But they warned the pressure switch shouldn't be used with reduced flow as it turns on and off fast enough to burn it up after a time like mine did. See if that expells me. So it is better a transfer pump with full on and then single pressure auto-off cycles.

Don’t waste your $$$. We were thrilled when the pump arrived. Hubby said it was easy to install and seemed to work well. A month later I emailed the seller to find out where to get replacement filters, for future reference, and I received an email (2 days later) saying it was the weekend, he would get back to me. That was 2 weeks ago. Yesterday the pump started acting up. It would shut off while I was using it and not start up. If you shut the water off for a while it might restart. Today, it completely stopped. I checked and my window for returns has closed.... NICE. I noticed someone else mentioned that theirs needed a new pressure pump. I appreciate the information. But why should we have to be repairing the pump after only 6-8 weeks. I am sure that the USA has a one year manufactureS warranty policy. I will be contacting Amazon right away to complain as I hope others that have had problems will do as well.

I don't know why I didn't read the other descriptions before buying this. First of all it does not have the ability to lift water up to 7 feet.... or whatever it states. I had to buy a smaller container and raise it up higher just so it would pump. Secondly the pressure switch causes it to just run and run, allowing it to overheat fairly quickly without actually pumping water. This only worked for 7 days and I had issues with it every single day. Finally, it blew. Similar, better rated pumps can be had for the same price. Please save your money.

2nd pump lasted less than a month.

I put this in my camper this summer. Works like a charm. The motor hums but not like others I have heard. Very please customer. Gives great shower pressure
