Excalibur Tact Zone - Centerpoint Amped 415
Purchased as an improved scope for my Centerpoint Amped 415. The scope it came with is not illuminated or adjustable for the speed of the crossbow. Overall, the Tact Zone has great clarity and if you read the instructions is easy to sight in. Sight in at 20 then use the speed adjustments out to 30, 40 or up to 60. Overall easy to adjust and sight in for your bow speed. I ended up using a heavier bolt for my hunting set up and this scope made it easy to sight in with confidence. It is a 30mm scope that doesn't have rings with it so do order some if you don't already have them. Illumination works well and is clear and it is easy to tell what distance the dots are for. Is nice it came with lens covers that flip up. Seems to be an overall quality scope. Will update the review if I experience any issues or problems with it.

I changed bolts etc like many do but nothing seemed to help
I am a professional hunting and fishing guide and I bought this scope as a replacement for a scope I had on a Sniper 370 cross bow. I bought the bow as a backup for my clients. You would be surprised how many hunters show up for a hunt and have shoulder issues or bow issues or the grey matter between the ears in misfiring (-; I've had the bow for about a year and while it has harvested many animals ..mostly hogs... it was never the tack driver or rather grouped well at distances past 20 yards. I changed bolts etc like many do but nothing seemed to help. After researching I saw that others were getting very good grouping with their bow many out to 60 plus yards. Fortunately the bow took a bad tumble and landed pretty hard and the accuracy got worse. Crossman was willing to check the bow out for me but I didnt want to ship it back also I didnt feel that it was completely their fault meaning a bad scope etc. so after some marginal shots by clients I decided to upgrade and it came down to two scope the Nikon and the Excalibur Tact-Zone. I needed lighted reticles for hogs so I ordered the Tact Zone. Right out of the box I could tell this was a different beast. The eye end of the scope was much longer and the scope itself was heavier and a bit bigger. Mine came with mounting rings attached (not sure why) as I did order weaver rings to mount the scope but I opted for the rings that came with the scope. Mounting was straight forward. I think the weaver mounts are better however, I have never been a fan of rings that have only two mounting screws per ring..the weaver has four per ring, the ring with the scope was only two but I gave it a try for testing purposes and will probably convert to the weaver rings a bit later. I cant stress enough that mounting a scope without meticulous attention insuring the horizontal and vertical reticle lines match the crossbow limbs is a recipe for many sighting issues. If you dont know how to do that take it to a proshop it will save you a headache in sighting it in especially out to longer yardage. All that is required is about an 8 foot 2x4 and a carpenter level for do it yourselfers . After mounting and aligning the scope properly, and guessing at the bolt velocity the scope hit about a foot low at 20 yards minor adjusting had it in the the bulls eye at 20 so I moved out to 30 yards and my bolt hit a bit low so lowering the velocity ring had it in the bulls eye at 30. THE VELOCITY RING IS A MUST FOR ANY SERIOUS CROSSBOW SHOOTER! The optics on the scope are better than the 4x32 that came with the bow. I think the scope that comes with the sniper 370 is a pretty good scope but it just cant take the pounding that I dished out and no velocity ring. My clients will never shoot passed 30 yards but in testing this scope was on out to 50. I prefer the peep site type reticle circles in the old scope as they are better in low light for you can see whats behind the the circle/aiming point. One critisizm of the of the scope is the 1/4 inch adjustments on windage and elevation, this should be no more than 1/8 inch and preferably 1/16 inch for logical reasons in siting in at greater distances. I might have rated the scope 5 stars had it not been for that.... again much like the circle reticles this is just my personal preference.... hope the review will be helpful!

You can't go wrong
After checking out many scopes for our new Barnett crossbow, my Dad and I decided on this one and we are very satisfied and happy with the scope. Clarity is great and the sights are easy to see and line up on target. Once dialed in with your arrow speed, the scope is dead on easily up to 40 yards. My Dad took an big 8 point the first time out (about a 25 yard shot). The buck went about 15 yards an dropped. Perfect shot placement. A nice bonus is that it comes with the flip up scope covers. Illuminated sight and distance markers are great and easy to read and see. Much better than tiny lines going across that you have to squint to see and line up. With these sights, it quick and easy to get up and on target and ready to shoot.

It really does work!!!!!!
Turned my average crossbow into a tack driver out to 60 yards. I was a little skeptical that it would work as well as it does. I did not even have to use a chronograph to get the bolt speed. I used the advertised speed from the factory, set it on the scope, and once I adjusted the windage, I had tight groups out to 60 yards. I would recommend this scope to anyone. I haven't missed a shot since I got this.

You get what you pay for
Bought this scope to mount on my Excalibur crossbow. Followed the instructions and can hit the bulls eye at 60 yards consistently with the same arrow. I found that different arrows have different flight patterns and will be slightly off from each other yet each arrow is hitting the same spot consistently. I am now searching for a group of arrows that will all hit the same spot before this hunting season begins. If you purchase this scope I believe you will be very satisfied.

So so
Pros: I like how you can adjust the poundage to your crossbow. The reticle is also good and the ranging is spot on. The mounting rings are also very good. So far it also holds true. Cons: glass is so-so and the illuminated reticle is already busted.

Great Scope! Highly Recommended.
Excellent scope. Great optics. Clear and when set to my Predator the grouping was amazing. Could split my bolts at 20 yrds if I wanted. The red and green dots make zeroing in on your target fast and accurate. The yardage marker to the side also adds to the ease sighting in. Has adjustment built into the sight to shoot walking deer. Will see how that works. Would highly recommend this scope if you are looking for an upgrade or replacing one.
