Excellent sleep aid!
UPDATE AFTER A MONTH:Well, I still can't live without this stuff!! Came back to order another bottle because the family has now caught onto it's "sleepy" effect for bedtime:) It has NO effect on my guts (and I have been dealing with gut issues for a year now so I know what I am talking about when I say it has zero laxative effect!ORIGINAL POST:I have Lyme disease and it has left me with restless legs at night. I can't hold them still. I twitch and cramp and the only way to relieve it was to stand on my legs. (Not an ideal sleeping position...) and then I was reading up on healing my guts (it's been a long year people) and I came across Magnesium and started to look into adding it to my routine (which is rather strict so I know what does/doesn't piss off the IBS type pains that accompany the Lyme bullcrap) and I tell you what. The first night I took 1 pill, unsure what would come. And slept pretty good. About an hour after taking it I felt my legs relax enough to sleep. The next night? 2 pills. SLEPT LIKE A BEAR IN WINTER for 10 straight hours! I have taken 2 a night for weeks and slept great until 2 nights ago I forgot and fell asleep...and woke up 1.5 hours later with restless legs! I rolled over and took just 1 Mag pill and in a few hours was back asleep. I will never make that mistake again!I also have MVP (mitral valve prolapse) that my cardiologist put me on beta-blockers for (years ago), but in researching the side effects of those compounded now with Lyme treatments, I stopped taking them. So the random flutters, thudding in my chest, pain after exercising all came back within a day. The beta blockers were nice...but the magnesium has now all but replaced them! I have a few funny beats when I lay down at night, but I haven't had one episode of randomness during the days and I wake up feeling much more energetic.I'm not a doctor, I'm not paid to take these, I just wanted others to know I found relief from some pretty stressful things all from adding these to my regimen. I switched to Keto type lifestyle and the IBS has not flared up in over a month. I was on 4 Bentyl pills a day and now? None. Diet can help a LOT in healing the guts. And any other Lyme sufferers out there, just know, I am praying for you! You can do it!(Oh and adding collagen to the same protein shake in the am has helped the stiff joints...if you have Lyme you know what I mean... I got it off Amazon too- let's face it we aren't going shopping in a store just to browse. It was- hold on- have to get off the couch to go see...you are worth the effort..."Collagen Peptides Hydrolyzed Type 1 and 3 unflavored from Sports Research" It mixes up tasteless and I started with half a scoop a day and that was doing something so I increased to a scoop a day and now no more achy hands, hips, knees, ankles, shoulders...you know the list. But they don't ache anymore:) Bless you all!(For reference I was diagnosed with Lyme about 7 months after being bitten (which is now 15 months ago) I had reactivated EBV (think mono) that would NOT go away for months and months and months (the antigens just kept climbing) and no one could figure out why, and then my cardiologist (bless his heart) said most Lyme panels return negative. So he started me on Lyme treatments and guess what happened after only 4 days? Yes. I was herxing and mad as *$^# the other doctors hadn't figured it out. I'm still in treatment, but I feel SO much better. The mono is almost gone (I get wicked tired but that can also be the Lyme) and I have many, many great days in a row of being productive and pain-free!

Restless leg killer!!!
I have suffered from restless leg syndrome at night and it is awful. At one point, my marriage was suffering because I would have to sleep in the skate room. I was put on gabapentin and was eventually taking 600mg a night. I hated it so much. I saw someone recommending this and I thought well, I’ll give it a try. This is a miracle supplement. I went from having SEVERE RLS to having a slight episode maybe once or twice a month. I went from taking 600 mg of gabapebtin EVERY NIGHT to taking 100mg only when needed. I will NEVER stop taking this specific formula/brand. I think the glycinate formula is the difference because I’ve never had success with magnesium before. The capsules are larger than normal and I do sometimes feel they are “stuck” if I try taking them at the same time. But it’s an easy fix and I find that drinking a full 16 oz of water with the dose helps tremendously. Helps me feel sleepy and I have no side effects, no burping, no negatives whatsoever. There are no taste to the capsules that I can tell. I love this product so much, I will NEVER go without.

So far, so good for what I need. Thanks IntraNaturals for a quality supplement.
I purchased this supplement because I was looking for a more bioavailable magnesium to help support recovery for my workouts. Armed with the general knowledge that most of us are magnesium deficient also helped my decision to try something different from what I was getting from local supplement chains. I'm no expert in the research but understanding what it is I need and what and how it will promote effective (potentially) results in overall health and wellness, more specifically; work out recovery is what led me to purchase this magnesium initially.I take 2 capsules in the evening on active recovery days or 4 capsules in the evening on heavy training days. To somewhat generalize these workouts or training days for me - I program within the following modalities: CrossFit, Powerlifting, Olympic Lifting, and Strongman. I don't stick to one training method because I believe that doing something is better than nothing - variety is the spice of life; a very bland statement, but its common sense, right? Here are some of the effects / results I have after having taken magnesium (more so this one than any other thus far):- Improved sleep quality- Reduced muscle fatigue (overall) and during workouts- Healthier gutI'm not going to dive into the details about the internal benefits of magnesium glycinate and its responsibilities (e.g. creation of ATP, blood vessel relaxation, promotion of proper bowel function etc.) because, again, I'm no medical expert - I just do the research and find out whats works best for me. If you are currently taking or looking for a magnesium supplement to potentially increase or improve your overall quality of life, reduce stress levels, decrease fatigue and muscle inflammation, sleep better OR all of these - then you should try this one. I don't think you'll be disappointed; I'm not.
