TL;DR - The paddle brush has a boar bristle and nylon, ball-tipped pin mix that detangles, smooths & creates shine. The comb's teeth are medium-width, which can help detangle in the shower or help clump curls when styling. The messages inside the box are a little weird but it's still cute & for the price, you can't beat it. I LOVE this brush! I have used boar bristle brushes for most of my life (think: two-way wave) and love how they help slick my hair back when styling but I was never truly able to "brush" my hair with it. I rarely "brushed" my hair at all, as it's curly and brushing has always created an undefined lion's mane I'm not a fan of on myself. My hair is coarse, thick, long, and type 3; a, b & c. lol With my hair type and texture I've rarely used brushes other than to detangle before showering but I love how soft, shiny, and smooth this paddle brush has made my hair. I sectioned my hair and prepared myself for the worst but my hair somehow got softer and shinier when I was expecting the usual mad, if not sad-looking poof. I oiled my scalp before brushing my hair again, and that was it. I was sold. It's easy to hold, and the width makes detangling quick. This is my new favorite brush! The comb is great for shower detangling and defining my curls when wet styling. The "rat tail" or pintail, (whatever you call it lol) is great for parting your hair but isn't thin enough to make crisp lines. My husband recently got a short haircut and we're still getting used to it and experimenting. lol It's usually long and this is new territory for both of us but the brush and comb work with his 2 A/B hair amazingly. While wet styling, the comb separates his hair and makes it look casual and effortless. The brush slicks his hair back better than my wave brush can (his texture fights a boar bristle-only brush and a nylon pin brush leaves lines we both aren't big fans of) and creates shiny volume when used dry. I love it when you can wrap the box the gift came in and be done. That being said, I'd call this one giftable. The messages inside the box are a smidge off or weird (Contact immediately if you get a used item? :0 ew lol or the ADHD-trailing-thought of how the brush is made) but I give it a pass as you get the idea and aesthetically, it's cute. I might dock a star if this was expensive but the brush is amazing, under $10, and comes with a rattail comb. You're just going to recycle the box anyway. LOL It is what it is. 10/10 highly recommend!

For me, I have long, fine, straight hair, but a lot of it. Mixture of bristles glides down my hair so smoothly and leaves it soft and shiny. If you don't wash your hair for a few days and brush, it distributes the natural oil down the length of the hair and makes it so much easier to wash. Less dryness, fewer tangles, and so lustrous!

My daughter had purchased this product after carefully researching her hair type and hair care needs and didn't expect to love it as much as she did. Growing up, combing her hair has always been a struggle because of the length frizz, a mix of straight and waves. However, now she is able to detangle her hair easily in the mornings without crazy hair breakage, fall or length years later, now with bra strap level length and thickness at her ends. The brush has a slick, premium design and is easy to clean with the comb it came with and so far, none of the bristles have broken/bent even with excessive force. The bristles being a short length also helps tremendously as the strands have less tension to work against. Overall, for her low porosity, dry hair, straight/wavy hair (2b/2c) this has been a game changer!

Years ago I had a fabulous 'rat-tail' comb that worked great for parting as well as combing, but this one is hard, almost sharp, plastic, so it went into the bottom of the drawer right away. The brush feels a little large and flat in my hand, a little rounding at corners or around back to fit the hand better would have improved it. That said, the bristles themselves brush nicely through my medium length hair, no pulling, but gives a bit of shine. Overall a good brush, bur a few detail adjustments and the set would have been great.

It's a great Hair brush for a men. It doesn't feel like is scratching the heck out of your head while using it. It is just simple and gets the job done as needed. This review is for the hair brush made with wood. oh, also the brusher is a little hard to clean up if you don't have a big brusher like the one made of plastic. So the plastic one is more for like when you using your shampoo and things like that...Do not get the wood one wet or it will last you less than expected.

I received my hair brush today, earlier than expected, and am quite happy with it. I find it leaves my hair looking shiny and healthy. The vendor has been in constant contact with me, with updates of delivery time as my brush was not expected until early March but arrived end of February. Very pleased with the rush and the customer service.
