It is very sturdy setup. Mine had a problem but I called Bobby Jones (Better Box Mailboxes) and they took care of it right away. Very good people to deal with.

I think our mailbox is outstanding. Very different than anyone in the neighborhood, and matches our trim on our house. It was a bit difficult for my sons to put up, but it is solid. It is a very large box so it holds even small packages.

Sturdy well built mailbox!

I dug a 20inch deep hole and poured concrete into a 12inch diameter concrete forming tube to create the base.I drilled the 4 holes marked out from the base of the mailbox into a piece of wood that came with the mailbox, then inserted 3/8 stainless bolts so that I'd have about 2inches coming up the top of the concrete form, I added nuts to both sides of the wood so that it would hold the bolts nice and secure as I pressed it into the concrete.After it dried I removed the top nuts and slid off the wood.Very easy to place the mailbox from there.For the box itself, I removed all but one of the springs on the hinge so that it wouldn't snap back closed so hard. One spring is enough to keep if from banging down when opened, just enough to hold it about horizontal when open. There is also a magnet that holds it closed if you don't want any spring.I had to buy sticker brass decals because I needed a W in my address, but it actually looks pretty good.Definitely would buy again but hoping this lasts many years.

This was quite well made. Very sturdy (we installed using 3/8" bolts - not included - encased in concrete). The lid of the mailbox is spring hinged, so it self closes - a nice "extra".
