Talisman: The Dragon Expansion, Blue

This is a great expansion for Talisman. I really enjoyed playing this today. It adds a lot to the base game without being overwhelming. A quick read through the directions and you are ready to go. It's not overly complex. There's a good mix of new characters with some interesting abilities. What I really liked was that the new board for the inner region has two sides. One side has the original inner region challenges but altered slightly to fit the Dragon theme and the other side offers a new progression to the final battle for the Crown of Command with new and unique challenges. The alternate ending cards also add greatly to the replayability of this expansion. I can't wait to play again! So many great dragons to battle!

Excellent purchase

The Woodland Expansion isn't very good but the Highland Expansion is far and above the best expansion we've played so far! Last time we played I wanted to keep reentering the Highland Expansion like 3 or 4 times to keep getting good items and increasing my Craft by fighting Craft enemies. Woodland is booty but this is great.

One of the harder to find expansions to talisman, definitely one of the ones worth getting.

This works perfectly with classic and Fantasy Flight versions of Talisman, for those that are concerned. I would even say that the tokens and miniatures seem to be slightly better quality than the original. As for the expansion, it is great, but if you are still collecting, I would recommend getting this one last, as it is supposed to offer up a challenge for those that have mastered the rest.

This expansion is nice to have overall. Difficulty wise, it’s somewhere between the Dungeon and the City. It doesn’t add much in the way of new ideas or challenges to the game, but is simply a decent extra area to explore. It keeps it simple in terms of mechanics (unlike the Woodlands, which is a ridiculous sideshow of complicated rules). Honestly, the best feature is the extra characters, particularly the Alchemist. Get that guy into the City and you’re set to dominate the game.

Compatible with base game and Cataclysm, it attaches to the "city" corner. Honestly, the city region is too easy. It's like the best place to be. You'll draw almost no serious combatants, and you'll get the opportunity to get some overpowered pets as followers. Very fun.

The game arrived quickly, was undamaged in any way, and it was the last corner expansion our group was looking for, so we're very happy. :)

Part that does not require other extension offers alternate ending options and fun but half the deck can only be used in combination with two expensive extensions. Was probably indicated in the description at some point but was not obvious to me.
