Excellent value and impressive build quality for the price!
Just received this half cage in the mail last night, and I have to say that it truly exceeded my expectations. The build quality is excellent, the weight is good and the threads are clean, it doesn't feel like a cheap factory output at all.I think for most uses, if someone is buying their own gear and doing their own work (as opposed to professionals whose companies might rightly be buying brands like Wooden Camera), this must be the best value out there for a simple cage that adds weight and presence to the camera while giving you DOZENS of 1/4 20 mounting points for mic, recorder, monitor, etc.SmallRig, I am impressed and you've won my loyalty as I build my rig into various configurations!A note about the photo below: I LOVE the wood handle (that's sold seperately) but it was too long for the cheese rod on this cage. I spent and hour or so cutting it down and sanding it to fit. If you have tools and want a nice wooden grip on a GH4 rig, this is a good DIY cheap route! Hope this has been helpful.

Quality product at a good price
I am a huge fan of SmallRig's gear because they are kind of the "legos" of the video production world and their gear is always well built. I would recommend this cage to anyone needing/wanting a reliable cage with a few different mounting options at a reasonable price.I use this cage with a Panasonic G7 and have had absolutely no issues with product compatibility.

Great cage. I use it with my GH4 and fits really well. Only thing I wish is that it came with an HDMI clamp, or at least Amazon would list it. The cage is extremely rigid and looks nice, plus the materials are really good quality. I would definitely buy from SmallRig again, don't think about it twice and get this cage!
