SOREL - Women's Glacier XT Insulated Winter Boot

Although I did return these boots, here's my review:I only returned them, cuz I found them used at cheaper price. I usually wear a size 7 in boots, but size 6 in these is just right. They're bulky. REALLY bulky. I probably wouldn't wear them to walk in a park, but I live in Alaska, so those are perfect for my Northern lights chases, as I spend hours and hours outside, just standing, not moving much, waiting for them to show up and take pictures. I have another Sorel boots that I absolutely love, and although they're insulated, they're not sufficient for what I needed them to be used for. So these are great. They do fit a bit bigger, so I'd say go a size down. They're super warm, it's like a boot in boot, you can remove those insoles and wash them, which is great, but because they're so well insulated only a thin sock is enough to keep me warm on those cold, long nights while out. Yes, these boots look like something astronauts will wear to land on a moon, haha, but I absolutely love them and have I not found them used for much less money, I would definitely pay a full price for them. Super happy. And they're Sorel. So you know they'll last for ages.

I bought these to replace my 18-year old Sorel Snowlions. The Glaciers are warmer and heavier than the Snowlions and, if they last anywhere near as long, I will be delighted. I am still in awe of a pair of boots lasting 18 years. And they received tough wear in heavy Wisconsin winters. I'll never complain about the cost of Sorels. They are well worth the price and keep my feet toasty warm. I usually wear a size 8 and the 8 fit perfectly, very cozy, and a slightly tighter fit than the Snowlions. I wore them to clear the walks in -10 weather and my feet were sweating. The rest of me was very cold, but at least my feet were toasty. These are great boots. Oh, and the inside liner is so soft, thick, and cushioned, it really does feel I'm walking on pillows.

I run a horse rescue and sanctuary in West-Michigan so I have to be outside all day long.We had it all this winter...from single digits and some, lots of snow which is now melting so we have deep water puddles and a lot of mud. This is the first time my feet stayed completely dry, nice and warm through all of this. Never had to change boots or socks and I only wear thin socks in them.They are made for hard work outside in crazy weather!Only down side to them is they are heavy, and I mean havy.

My husband has been wanting to buy these for me the last couple of years. I just didn't want to spend the money. Now I can go out in our yard when we gets lots of snow and not have to worry about getting snow in them. They definitely keep your feet warm. They are heavier and bulky then I'm used to, but definitely worth the money. I have wide feet and these are just the right fit.

I bought these because after a long walk with my dogs in my other snow boots, I always ended up with cold toes even when I wore thick socks and sheepskin inserts. After these arrived, I put them on with no socks, just bare feet, and went for a walk with my dogs on snow-packed road in 10F temps. When I got home my toes were still warm!!!!! They are ugly, huge, and heavy.....but they keep my feet warm, which is why I bought them. Five stars! Update: Today I went for a two mile walk through a snowstorm...my toes were toasty warm the entire way! Btw, I usually wear a size 11 and ordered a size 12, glad I did, I like the extra room.

My previous Sorel boots lasted many years of being outside with dogs and shoveling in CT. They never leaked water in at all. I took a size 8 in those Sorel and also in my other shoes. I decided to order up to a 9 (Good decision on my part). Amazon doesn't seem to carry 1/2 sizes. Like many others have stated on various sites, Very Heavy, Clunky and not at all Good Looking. The purpose of the large rubber bottom/platform, moon boots, is to keep your feet more above the ground/snow for warmth. Not a fashionable boot to walk into a store with on. Also I wouldn't drive a car with these on. Too clunky for using the gas pedal, in my opinion. I feel these boots will last a very long time. And my legs will be muscle toned in the winter from using these boots! I pd $85.00 on 9/21/2017. ***** Update 12/23/17. I used these boots in snow with very cold weather. My feet were warm with a pair of medium thickness socks. As i stated the boots bottom-platform is thicker to keep feet away/off from the cold ground. Still ugly tho.

These boots are amazing! They are heavy so your calfs get a workout. I walk dogs for a part time job, besides my own, and these keep my toes warm and dry! They have a removable liner for the warmer days of winter.I have been skeptical about finding warm boots, I have Reynaud syndrome, (a circulation issue which makes me more susceptible to frost bite on my extremities) and had beginning stages of frost bite in December from my other boots. I have never spent more than $60 on boots before, with the poorer quality, I go through about 2 pair of boots a year, but these look and feel nice and sturdy where i can get many years from them.

I gave these SOREL Women's Glacier XT insulated winter boots to my wife for Christmas. She said the fit is perfect and are the warmest boots she has ever had. She said they are heavier than the previous Sorel boots she had but they are also warmer and grip better on snow and ice. Our winters are quite cold and warm boots are a necessity if you are going to spend time outside. The construction of these boots and the materials are very high quality. If you are looking for a very warm pair of boots that will give you years of service, you can't go wrong with these.

We live in the mountains and this is by far the best winter boot I have ever had. It’s super warm without being too warm. Great for standing on cold surfaces as it has enough protection to actually keep your feet warm. It’s easy to put on and you can change out the lining to make the boot last a long time. On the down side- it’s really heavy and clunky. It doesn’t have a lot of grip on the ice- so it can be slippery and sometimes the lining slips down when you put them on and it doesn’t have a strap to put it up easily.

Absolutely incredible extremely warm, 100% waterproof, insulated boots can stay on -73.7celcium. Wearing them at the moment in Norway, tromsø. Very happy. Just I am size 6 and bought size 8 in case I need to wear woolly socks. So they are too large, but it’s my fault, should go smaller. Very recommend if you going somewhere where there is high and thick snow.
