I've owned a Spectre filter in my 2007 Jeep Liberty for 6 years now. And I just purchased another one for my 2006 Jeep Commander. They are made just like K&N but for a cheaper price. They are cleaned and oiled the same way. I'm using my K&N cleaning kit actually. The main reason to buy these reusable filters is because they are pretty much lifetime filters. Don't expect big changes in HP or MPG though.

I have seen a 2 - 3 mpg improvement for sure but it's harder to tell about the power increase...maybe. It did take a couple of fill-ups before the computer figured out what was going on for the improvement to show. 2005 Liberty 3.7 4 x 4. The fit was correct and installation was simple.

I got this air filter for dusty areas. I've had paper filters not stop fine dust and ash, and I heard oiled filters will stop those particles at the expensive of cleaning more often. The oiled filter makes sense. I don't know about any fuel mileage differences as my Jeep is a gas hog anyway. The engine does seem to rev up smoother, but maybe that's just my butt dyno.

We have always loved Spectre air filters. They really add more response and horsepower to your car over standard air filters.

Add says fits a jeep liberty and does not fit isn’t the correct part for the jeep liberty of any year model.

Great quality air filter. Just as good as K&N, but half the price. Highly recommend. These are the only air filters I use now.
