Perfect for display cabinets or under cabinet use
The motion sensor cabinet lights were better than I expected them to be. I cannot adequately answer the question regarding the motion detection feature because of the application however when I do turn on the motion detection feature it seems to work well. But since I have six of them in a cabinet of varying heights I think the motion detection would be distracting as they're going to come on at different times and stay on for different lengths of time depending on the motion in the room. For under cabinet lights in a kitchen I think it would be a great application and I think the motion detector feature would be a benefit. However the application I wanted was to light up a paperweight collection in a cabinet without glass shelves or lighting and for that I was delighted with this product. They are very easy to apply, are rechargeable which is a great benefit and look nice and neat when installed. I'm looking for more places to put them! We have fairly frequent power outages and these would be a great benefit to have in hallways or along baseboards in the event of power loss

Wonderful addition to the kitchen.
These were so easy to install under my kitchen cabinets where I needed a little more light when using the counters at night. The battery lasts a long time and is easy to recharge. I have 4 of these--3 in the kitchen and one in a hallway closet that doesn't have a light. The closet light is switched on to motion activation setting while the kitchen lights I turn on when I am working in that area. Very versatile and so easy to use.

Nice, easily removable lights
These lights provide sufficient under cabinet lighting for our needs. They're roughly equivalent to a 35W lightbulb. Unlike some other lights, the lighting is fairly uniform due the milky/frosted cover. This wasn't a big deal for us since we're using it undercounter (where we wouldn't see the lights directly) but I imagine it would be nice if it were mounted in a closet or open area.Mounting the lights was pretty straight forward. Clean and dry the. Attach the metal strip to the back of the light and attach 4 double-sided foam tape stickers to the metal strip (it comes with 8 per light). Peel off the protective plastic on the tape and press the light into place.. When you pull the light off, the metal strip should stay in place (you can firmly press the metal strip for better adhesion). The light is super light so I can't imagine the weight of the light ever overcoming the double side table or magnet's ability to hold it in place (even upside down). The include documentation seems to differ slightly from the online description. The lights (54 LED, SMD2835) are suppose to be 350 lumens according to the amazon description. The insert claims 300 Lumens. Now it does say +/- 20% so in theory it could go between 360 and 240 Lumens (probably depending on how charged the internal battery is). To claim it's 350 lumens (or even upto 350 lumens) is technically correct albeit slightly misleading. Regardless, more than sufficiently bright enough for my needs.Slight note for those using it under-cabinet lighting. My cabinets have a lip under them that's larger than the thickness of the light and sensor. If you position the lights against the lip, the sensor will be partially occluded from seeing you unless it sees movement directly under the light. Again, not a big deal since I only need light if I'm working under the cabinet (I'd rather it not turn on if I walk by the cabinets). I'm sure if I placed the lights further back, they'd pick up more ambient motion. I've had it fail to detect hand waving probably about 5% of the time; a second attempt usually works.Bottomline, you get two nice lights for a decent price and no drilling/wiring needed. They're easy to take down to recharge when necessary (the documentation says ~ 1-2 months depending on use).

Great product
We bought these for our closets. They hold a charge and give us great lighting. It's great, they turn on as soon as we open the closet door and time out shortly after the door is shut.

Became uncontrollable/unusable
These lights were used in my kitchen under my cabinets and they worked for a about 2-3 months. The motion detection and brightness were sufficient. I wish the motion lasted a bit longer before the light turns off automatically.Originally, I didn't use the motion detection so they were off until I needed to use them and I didn't turn them on frequently. After a while, the lights would turn on by themselves even when the switch is in the off position. I would flick the switch a few times and it would work itself out but eventually it would do it again so I set it to auto/motion detection and let itself turn on and off so I wouldn't have to touch the switch because I thought it might be finicky. The other light would develop the same issue and worse, it would sometimes blink or flash continually like a strobe light making it unbearable to work near them. No, it wasn't a low battery issue. I charged both to see if it would resolve the issue. It didn't. The other light wouldn't turn off one night so I plugged it in to charge, flicked the switch to auto and placed the light faced down so the sensor wouldn't detect anything. The next day, the light should have been fully charged but the light was still on so the auto motion detection obviously didn't turn the light off. It still wouldn't turn off no matter how many times I flicked the switch. Sure, I could stick them back under my cabinet and it would just be on all the time providing more light in my kitchen but it would run out of battery frequently and wouldn't be available at the times I need it. In the end, these lights became unusable.

Item description on Amazon different from product
The visuals shown in item description is different from the actual product sent. This is supposed to be a slim, glare free LED light, but is neither slim nor glare free. The sensitivity is very low and doesn't light up even after passing below the light. You need to literally extend your hand and waive before the sensor to turn it on. The higher prive of the item is unjustified - this is similar to what other generic products as mentioned in the description.
