Dash Mount Cell Phone Holder Jeep Compatible Wrangler (2007-2010 JK and 1997-2006 TJ) with Ball Mount for iPhone and Android Smartphone – Features Heavy Duty Carbon Fiber Kevlar Arm

I have been looking for a solid, durable, and affordable, phone mount for quite some time. I knew about Bulletproof Mounting Solutions but they didn't have a solution to fit my TJ. Well, now they do! This kit is awesome. The quality is amazing with metal anodized parts, not plastic. They provide all the necessary hardware, and even a drill bit and screwdriver to help with the installation! Check out the attached pictures. The installation couldn't be easier. Use the backing plate to mark your holes and drill them out, mount the base, attach the phone mount, and you're done! Jeep TJ's suffer from lack of mounting points but this kit solves the issue perfectly. You can't go wrong here.

So far so good. It’s mounted to the BuiltRight Industries Dash mount and it’s very solid. I did use a little bit of thread locker on the mounting screws just to make sure that they never vibrate loose.The aluminum can get hot if you don’t use a windshield shade when you park. I do, and so it’s not a problem.Overall I’m quite happy with it.

It’s heavy duty but not practical for the application on a Jeep dash board. Plastic dash is too unstable for this wand style arm and phone shakes too much while driving. The spring loaded phone holder is very strong but will take two hands to mount phone unlike many other (less expensive) brands. For practical applications and ease of use this item failed. But if you want something that looks cool but impractical this is item is for you. Due to small mounting point it may be more practical if mounted directly to a metal surface such as the window frame or roll bar.

Finally bit the bullet and decided to get an expensive mount that worked . I’ll be brief here : The Mount grabs the phone in an excellent way , the quality is very good and packaging is great . There are no instructions or reference to videos for the Jeep Wrangler TJ . Finally installed and it’s not rocket science but you need to take parts of the dash off and drill the mount into the top dash opte to mount . Not sure everyone will be sold on that idea but last is the phone is held well but the mount arm rattles / shakes due road vibration . I’m sure the phone won’t fly out but it’s a bit annoying to see the arm shake on the streets , freeway .... everything else I find nice

I took my Jeep Wrangler into the mountains for a pretty extreme off-roading event this weekend (the VA4WD Annual Trail Ride) in the Blue Ridge Mountains. My phone did not budget once during rock crawling or going through any of the obstacles from extreme off-camber situations, shaking like crazy going across a rocky mountain ridge, or climbing large rocks going into and out of streams. This mount is on point and well worth the money.

This worked perfectly for two months, but then it started to fail, 8 days outside of the return window. Had I known better, I would have gone with the 67 Designs mount, seeing as it’s their design, anyway, and theirs is robust and actually made in Texas, USA. Don’t buy this. Go with 67 Designs.

I already have a Bulletproof Mount in my Jeep. When this universal mount was released I was excited to order it for my work van - Chevy Cargo Van. It worked perfectly and the install was easy with the drill bit and screw driver provided. The extra optional screws were a nice added bonus. I continue to be impressed with this products quality and versatility.

I love these mounts! Your phone will never fall out of this thing. I've got a couple in my JLU on a railing system and it's so sturdy, barely any movement. I also love these are made in the USA.
