One of America's truly great performers of popular music, with influences of Rock, Folk, Country, Blues...just great music.

Jimmy La Fave is old school - he writes and sings about life events and conditions that he obviously has experienced as the emotion that comes across is so real - he isn't faking it. The guitar tuning and melodies are the same way - very emotional and real. It was a relief to hear him perform - he is a genuine singer and musician (think Bob Dylan, Joan Baez, Neil Young, Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, etc.), not a wannabe with ProTools going through mechanical motions to be interesting and make money, but having no character to make it real. Jimmy's songs get to you.

Hearing Jimmy LaFave live is a real treat! Such a great, unique voice! And his take on a number of Bob Dylan classics makes a must-have CD off his fans, and everyone's should be a fan of Jimmy LaFave!

Excellent singing and piano player

Both a tremendous songwriter and interpreter. Very much my cup of tea but possibly not everyones. Stripped down and to the point. Everybody should have a listen though. Highly recommended.

Great Album by a Great Artist!

One of the best CD's I ever bought

I bought this CD because I had heard one of the songs played by a local DJ....album cost me $18.95 and the one song (I'll Be Your Baby Tonight) is fabulous, but it's the only song on the album that I, personally, like!
