GUND Soft, Huggable Maxie Teddy Bear, The One They Will Love Forever, Plush Stuffed Animal 19" Inches

PERFECT! I bought this teddy when I was pregnant with my first (a girl) so it could wear her “coming home outfit” so she'd have a keepsake to remind her of what “size” she was at birth. She ended up being 4lbs/preemie size, so that plan backfired (for sizing-- the teddy is wearing a newborn-sized onesie). So throughout her first year, we instead took pictures of her next to the teddy so she'd have a keepsake of how much she has grown.She's now 16-months old and HUGE and CANNOT GET ENOUGH of this teddy-- it is hands-down her favorite stuffed animal. She LOVES giving him 'big hugs' (she collapses on top of him with the biggest smile on her face) and taking him on her little adventures around the house. The latter is somewhat of a hazard at this stage; however, because the bear is so large and she's still unsteady on her feet, so when she walks while holding him, she sometimes trips over him if she does hold him up high enough. So if your little one becomes as obsessed with this teddy as ours is, that's something to watch out for.Overall, the teddy is soft but firm enough to sit on its own, while also being squishy and snuggly. I'm not sure it will stand over a decade of my daughter's abuse (it already looks different than it did a year ago--while it looks even cuter now than when we first purchased it, I'm not sure that will continue to hold true), so I'm buying a second 'back-up' as a keepsake. So glad we found this-- it has brought immense joy to our daughter and undoubtedly continue to do so for years to come.

Who says an adult cannot have a teddy bear? I absolutely love my Maxi bear. He is just the right length for me. I did not want a bear that was permanently stuck in a sitting position. The Maxi bear can sit and stay in that position, but can also straighten out. I nap with my teddy right up next to me with his arm around my neck and his legs out of the way. He has the cutest tummy. His fur is very cuddly and soft. His face and glass eyes are so cute. The materials seem durable and the construction is well done. I feel very content holding him or just looking at him. I hope my new teddy bear and I will be pals from now on. The Maxi Teddy Bear would be a wonderful gift for children or those who still like those childhood memories.

I bought this 19" teddy bear to occupy the Stokke carseat that my husband and I gave our son and daughter-in-law for Christmas, for their son Teddy, due next month. It arrived before the promised date. The length of this bear was perfect to provide the finishing touch to this gift. Gund stuffed toys are so soft and cuddly, and this bear has such a sweet face. Just the day before, our 33-year-old son had bought a Gund "Snuffles" bear for his son, just like the one we'd bought for him when he was brand new. Gund stuffed toys truly are the very best!

This 19 inch Maxie is the perfect size for a teen or adult to cuddle. Maxie is super huggable and soft with lots of stuffing.In a house with about 20 other teddy bears ranging from $5 to $200 per bear, Maxie has become the favorite for cuddle time. We are about 7 months in of daily cuddles and the stuffing is still holding up well, with limbs, head and body staying evenly stuffed. I hope Gund doesn’t stop making this bear. Maxie is a keeper!

I was going to make my niece a bear, but saw this Gund bear and bought it. The eyes are extremely secure and the bear "fur" is silky. This bear is well made and soft without being a floppy blob. I also wanted a bear I could make clothes for, and this bear is perfect in its proportions. It's 19" high and has a 19" tummy. These proportions are perfect for overalls and dresses with an empire waist. I can use doll clothes patterns for 18" dolls and adjust the patterns to a "Bear-plus" size, remembering that a bear doesn't have a neck.The Amazon truck came to our house today, and my husband answered the door. As he was opening the box he said,"This must be the bear because the box is so light." I said, "This can't be the bear. I just ordered it last night!"Yes, it was this Gund bear, and I had to test out this bear's huggability. I said, "He is adorable!" and my husband said, "Either your niece isn't going to get this bear or you had better buy a bear for yourself." I will be ordering another bear tonight.

i ordered this bear because it was time or a new one. i had gotten a different Gund bear. . . the Gund Philbin 18" Bear, Beige . . . the first one i ordered was so soft and great for sleeping with . . . the paws had swede on them. since this one was a little bigger than the other one for the same price i wanted to get it. it is just as soft but in the photos i thought the paws would be the same but they are not. . . they have some kind of fabric on them. . . soft yes but not what i thought it would be. . . and he is not over sized and "fat" like the other one is. . . he looks much fuller in the photo. . . but still a great gift . . .

3 year old will not go anywhere without it.

I bought this Teddy Bear (Maxie) for a little girl that has brain cancer, and she’s blind from it. Her big brother Robert works with me. In 2019 the Company I work for adopted her for Christmas. Her name is Mia. She touched my heart in a way it’s never been touched before. So I decided since she can’t see, she needed something to hold so she won’t be afraid. I chose Gund because of their reputation of being soft! I was not disappointed at all! The SOFTEST Teddy ever! It was also a good price! If you want to buy a special gift for someone, then this is it! Oh, by the way, Mia loves it! ♥️
