30' extension pole and subsequent purchase of the 24' pole from same company
This is an extremely well made pole - strong and sturdy. It is heavy for me (woman but fairly strong). I got it for roof snow removal because all the dedicated snow removal rakes were sold out. I have not tried it yet but my gut tells me it'll be cumbersome even with a 1 story roof and not a steep pitch. It has no give. So quality 5 usability for snow removal, unsure. UPDATE : I sent this back and got the 24'. The 30' weighs 6 lbs. which I thought would be no problem as I have and use 8lb weights. The height and being able to use it was too cumbersome and physically tiring. Also the pole extensions, although well made, took a lot of effort to extend. The 24' pole weighs 4lbs but also seems quite heavy. This time, I will not unpack this until I am sure I can use this pole vertically. I just got it so have no idea how it will go. The return was very easy. Amazon came and picked up my 30' pole and dropped off the 24' - all within 24 hours of my return and reorder. The only thing that made me nervous was no receipt from the Amazon driver when he picked up my returned 30' pole. On line however, shows my return is in transit.

Quality built item with lots of uses!
Excellent item for me! It’s very sturdy, locks to the right position quickly and easily, and is not super heavy. It does the job just perfectly for me and my family. I like that you can screw accessories onto the end. I bought a screw on duster so I can spray Carpenter B holes way up in my rafters. But I can also screw on a window wash squeegee or a broom head, if I like. Having a two-story home makes this a very good item to own. I will be finding lots of uses for this quality well build item. I highly recommend!

Works for my purposes, just wish it was a little better
My husband’s review: I mainly got this because my kids constantly get toys stuck on the roof, in trees, and over the fence in neighbor yards. This pole makes it much easier to get those toys back into my kids’ hands. The hook attachment I got with it is super helpful. I use it for all kinds of things. I’ve been using the pole for several months now and I wanted to wait to leave a review until I had really tried it out. It’s pretty easy to use, but I do have some minor complaints. 1. While it is lightweight it still seems pretty heavy when it is completely extended and/or I need to hold it more horizontal than vertical. I’m not sure I could expect much more though since I don’t want to it be any more flimsy than it already is. Which brings me to my next point… 2. It is a little flimsy. I’ve been pretty careful with it and even so some of the sections are getting bent. I don’t try to pick up or lift anything heavy either. Once a pole gets bent it makes it harder to extend and retract that section. It doesn’t slide out nicely anymore like it once did. 3. While adjusting the levers to extend out another section, the screw that is on the lever moves (tightens), making it so I can’t fully bring the lever flush with the pole again because it it too tight, if that makes sense. I’m constantly pulling out a screwdriver to loosen the screws on every lever so I can bring it all the way down. Otherwise, the levers stick out form the pole and get caught on stuff while I’m using the pole (like tree branches or the chain link fence). 4. I hadn’t had it long before one of the sections came out completely when I was extending it. Normally it stops at the end so you know when you can’t extend it anymore, but that time it just came right out, caught me by surprise and fell on my patio. This cause two sections to get a little bent. I was able to bend them back so the pole still works but know I have to be extra careful with that section to not extend it all the way out. It happens to be the second section too, which I use a lot. 5. Using the pole makes my hands dirty. It’s like extending and retracting the poles makes it rub off a little bit of the metal each time, and it creates this sparkly dust that gets all over my hands. Not a big deal but annoying. All in all I like having it. I’m not sure if it is worth the hefty price but I can’t return it now anyway. I think I’ll have to be very gentle with it in order to keep it in good condition.

Works, Stays Straight, I Use Mine for Windows & Temporary Amateur Radio Wire Setup
I use my DocaPole for multiple purposes: 1. Cleaning the windows on my second story without having to use a ladder; 2. As a vertical extension for an Amateur Radio Wire Antenna setup. To use it as a vertical extension for my amateur radio wire setup, I have a 4"x4"x6' post mounted to a metal ground screw that goes 36" deep. To attach the DocaPole to the 4"x4", I use three metal pipe hangers and lag screws to secure it. Attaching my wire fan dipole for 10/15/17/20/40m to the top, I then extend the docapole up to its full height. I then connect the ends of the fan dipole to a tree on one side, and my patio fence on the other. I live in an HoA so I cannot have a "permanent" antenna so this temporary setup which takes me 10 minutes to setup/take down works well for my purposes. Neighbors can't complain I have an antenna (they don't know what it even is) and since it's not permanent, not breaking the rules.

But wobbly as you approach Max extension
Liked the length, I had to paint a chimney topper to the HOA off my back... It was 40ft up. With this at max, and the lightest roller assembly i had... Knocked it out in about a half hr. I practiced with the dry roller a few times and was glad I did... And wow is it 'wavey' at max! There's a bit of technique and placement strategy new players will have to work out. I don't think this is a pro grade device, but if you are in a bind, it'll do. It did not break on me and I'm going to keep it on a few nails high up in the garage for next time. (Takes months to get a painter 40ft up to do a proper job... From ordering to complete job this was a few days). Overall, happy with purchase and device.

Shipping packaging is essentially nonexistent, leading to damage
The pole itself is fine. It is a pole, with four independently extendable sections. It is fit for the purpose I purchased it for--washing second story windows and cleaning gutters. As you might expect, the final extension is of small diameter and a bit bendy. It was somewhat challenging to use the pole to clean gutters, but I wasn't expecting something magical in that regard. Extending the pole 20+ feet is naturally going to be a bit unwieldy. I was using a kind of spatula attachment to flip pine needles out the gutters, which wasn't great. There was the difficulty in maneuvering the tool itself at height, and also having to navigate the cross braces in the gutters themselves which of course you cannot see from the ground. I did get better at it after 15-20 minutes or so, but perhaps a different tool would work better. The gutters certainly now have less debris in them. It was much easier to use on the first story gutters. My major complaint is with the packaging, or rather, the lack of packaging. It was shipped only in a plastic bag sleeve. It arrived with two small dents in the ribbed aluminum part of the handle. I didn't think much of them initially, viewing them as cosmetic imperfections I could live with. But those small dents, as I discovered, prevent the largest diameter extension from sliding out. This is unfortunate for two reasons: first, I am not getting the advertised length that I paid for, and second, it would be better, when extending the pole, to use the larger diameter sections FIRST before having to extend the final, smallest diameter section which is less rigid. In short, because of the susceptibility of the thin aluminum to shipping damage, this is NOT a product which should be shipped in a simple plastic sleeve which provides no protection to the product other than (I guess) keeping it clean in transit. I have email DocaPole support and will update with a resolution.

Ok for extremely light use, bends easily and broke quickly
Bought these window cleaning poles to see how they compare to other brands. The locking mechanism seems like it could be better than a traditional coupler, but they have issues where they will self tighten and you have to loosen the nuts to move the pole. Using some washers to prevent this seemed to work. The foam rubber grips are nice, for cold weather especially. They are lightweight, but bend extremely easy, being careful with the 2nd one after the first one bent, It still bent very easily. When they bend they can be nearly impossible to collapse or extend. They are very flimsy which can make working at heights difficult. After being careful with the poles, one section completely failed and is now unusable. The other brands of poles typically last 2-3 years and have replacement parts, these poles lasted about 3 months and replacement parts seem to be not available. I would only buy these if you are only going to use them once in a great while, and only for dusting or other very light tools on the end. For regular use, they are a waste of money.
