These are a nice size pasta bowl. They seem to be sturdy, they ring nicely if you rap them. The finish is a little rough in spots, including in the bowl. But for the price, they beat paper plates! I've read reviews that suggest that using with stainless utensils leave marks -- this is true of most ceramic dishware -- research how to scrub those off! I liked these enough to get another set -- at my rate of breakage, they should last a few years! In short, a bargain for the one color at 1.60 each. I'd pass on the others at full price though.

Six dishes have same rustic pattern, a little bit darker than seller’s picture, nice and looked not fragile.

Stone & Beam Corwin Rustic Reactive-Glaze Stoneware 6-Piece Dinner Bowl Set, White Sand Matte - The photos on the Amazon website make it appear as though the bowl is more of a creamy color with a darker burnt cream tinge at the rim of the bowl. The bowls I received are a solid off-white color. Very disappointing. Not what I wanted, although the size and shape are exactly what I was looking for.

My entire dinnerware collection is mix and match reactive glaze pieces. They all have the slight imperfections that come with handmade ceramics. These are not. The "pattern" you see in the bowl is screen printed to look like reactive glaze and is identical on every plate. The plates themselves are cast or molded and very smooth. So they are perfect, which to me isn't quite right. But they are a decent size, attractive and a great bargain. So I wouldn't say don't buy them. But you should be aware of what you're actually getting.

These are beautiful, the color is an interesting blue and the color complements food, which is important in my book. My husband managed to chip one the first time out of the dishwasher but he’s being more careful now and we use them Almost daily. Not as durable as my old Fiesta ware but way prettier! I’m glad I got them. Heavy like pottery.

We loved these bowls! We bought them in addition to the actual set that included Dinner Plate, Salad Plate, and Bowl. These are so much more beautiful in person and perfect for a pasta dish or a big yummy salad. The gray color has lovely subtle hues of blue... but not a lot to where it changes the color or dynamic completely. As someone who was looking for a GRAY set, I was extremely pleased. One thing I wish there was for this, as well as for the 3-piece set, is that there could be singles sold in case I needed to buy extras. But overall, very happy with the purchase!

UPDATE and additional pictures: Less than a week later.....and then there were five!! I have been using stoneware dishes in my home for many years. We have not even used these a week and they are already chipping. I placed the bowl on the counter and that was apparently enough to cause a chip to flake off. I am so disappointed. If it hadn’t happened with me, I probably would have thought one of the kids/teens/husband was too rough. Not the case though. They sure are pretty and useful, but I can not recommend them for durability. I was pleasantly surprised by the Stone & Beam Rustic Dinner Bowl Set. Not only do I think the color is amazing, but I love the size and shape. Over the years, I have settled for eating certain foods in a cereal bowl. That is so not cool when serving guests! I was pleased to treat myself to these! Now when having our favorite Couscous dish, I can feel a bit more like a human being. Something about eating dinner out of a cereal bowl wasn't as appealing. As we all know, presentation is everything when it comes to a meal! So yes, I am very happy with this set and it is priced well. It comes with a set of 6 and this does make a very nice gift for almost everyone. If you think about most dish sets, they don't come with bowls like this! No more buying 4 at a time! If you are using this as a gift, just keep in mind that the packaging is kind of boring. Nothing to stand out as "I am a gift". It's fine when it's a present for yourself though! Once the box is opened, anyone who loves this in rustic granite (almost a hint of blue) will say "Ohhhh and Ahhhhh" with a smile! Think outside the box this year when it comes to teacher/bus driver, etc gift giving! I am so happy with this set! If you have any barn wood/distressed shelves in your kitchen, these would look awesome!

I had been wanting to purchase a set of dinner bowls for some time. It has been about 6 weeks of using the. At this point and I would say they are everything I wanted them to be. They are beautiful, the perfect size for pasta or rice meals, they come as a set of 6, which is nice for a bigger family and so far are very sturdy. They have some weight to them but they aren’t bulky. For the price I couldn’t have asked for more.
