Great camera lens case
I use this case primarily for storage in a closet, but this case does well for on location shoots, keeping all of your lenses and other small equipment neatly organized. The felt dividers have sturdy Velcro and lots of padding for customizing your sections based on the size of your lenses/small equipment. It also stores an extra camera body, an external flash unit (inside its own case even) and battery chargers, etc. it is totally customizable! I did not need the shoulder strap, but the short handle is perfect and feels secure when carrying. You are literally carrying thousands of dollars of fragile equipment in this thing, so you need it to be sturdy. Good buy. Works well for me.

Perfect for SFF PC Builds!
Great value, works great for SFF PC's and can fit in a backpack as well, although the backpack would need to be relatively bigger. Mine is a 40L and fits it decently well. Amazing design to fit all the essentials inside.

Very clean
This is a very clean design, exactly what I've been looking for. Good quality. You can fit a camera with 24-70mm lens, 70-200mm lens, a flashlight and some small items like an extra two batteries, charger, some wires...

Great bag, great price: from a pro
I’m a professional photographer and put my bags through their paces. I’ve had this bag for one full photo season and really like it. I have a larger, similar style from f-stop and definitely like this one better. The foam is thick and sturdy and I love the zipper pocket in the lid. I did order the zipper top from f-stop to put in this case and it works like a charm for all those little items I don’t need quick access to.I don’t carry my bag when I’m shooting; I try to keep my main kit on me. So this often stays in my car while I’m shooting, but it’s easy and and convenient to carry around. The handle feels sturdy. If I were traveling I would probably put it in a backpack or small hard case.I use this bag just for my main kit, and another bag for all my extras and lights. I am able to fit my main camera with the 50mm sigma art, the 70-200, 24-70, and either an additional camera body, lens, or flash in here. I could fit more if I didn’t have the zipper addition.I’m really hard on my bags and typically buy a new backpack style bag every year, but I am very happy with how well this has performed. Great bag, great price!

I'm using it for storage, not for travel
I own several inexpensive hard cases, with pluck-n-pull foam. I liked these at first and loaded them up. Unfortunately, after only a few months the foam started to break apart and no longer protected my equipment. This led me to look for alternatives. Initially, I looked for better foam, but couldn't find anything that matched my needs. I even tried gluing several camping mats together and carefully cut out holes to match my equipment. Again, after only a few months the mats lost their rigidity and started to come apart.I'm now using the Vanguard Divider Bag 53 as my primary storage. It's not a hard case and I wouldn't want to throw it in the trunk with other luggage, but it does a good job of storing my equipment. At some point, I may opt for the hard case, as well, but I can't think of a time when I would want to travel with this much equipment and something this big.I've attached a picture that shows my basic layout. One nice thing about the dividers, when compared to the foam is that it's easy to re-arrange. With the foam, once you make the holes, your stuck with them. I've only had this divider bag for a short period, but believe and expect that it will last longer than the foam. Time will tell....I was not able to store my 70-200 f2.8L or 100-400 4.5-5.6L, in this bag, due to their size. They were too tall to stand up and took too much room laying down. The bag lid contains a pouch made of a mesh netting. I threw some gray cards and micro fiber cloths in this pouch. I wouldn't want to store anything hard in this pouch as there is nothing between it and the equipment below.I could have made use of a few more dividers, but am satisfied with the ones that came with the bag. Also, it would have been nice, if the bag was a bit more rigid. I know it's a bag and not a case so I am not deducting any points as a result either of these items.Assuming this bag holds up, which I expect it will, I wouldn't hesitate to buy it again or recommend it to a friend.

Great photo equipment carry or storage bag.
I often need to carry lots of my camera gear to an event to create memorable photographs. This bag holds my Nikon D3s, D700 with battery grip, 2 Nikon SB700 flashes, 2 flash triggers with 1 controller, Tamron 28-75 lens, Nikon 80-200 lens, Nikon 24mm, 50mm, 85mm lenses and some spare camera & flash batteries. I then load this Vanguard Bag 40 into my carry on suitcase on wheels with a handle and wheel it to my car and then to the event. This totally protects my expensive camera gear and allows me to move it around with little effort.
