2012 deluxe edition of her debut album Heaven featuring five exclusive new tracks including her incredible cover of Drake's 'Take Care', the album also includes the new song 'I'll Count the Days', taken from ITV's Downton Abbey. Debut from the X Factor finalist with the smoky Neo-Soul voice. Rebecca Ferguson began working on her major-label debut in early 2011, mere weeks after becoming the show's 2010 runner-up. Heaven sketches out a soulful sound similar to Duffy and Corrine Bailey Ray. Ferguson puts her own stamp on the music by co-writing every track, including the lead single 'Nothing's Real But Love.' Most X Factor finalists load their debut albums with cover songs and schmaltzy ballads; Ferguson, an established songwriter as well as a singer, proves there are other avenues worth exploring.

A blessing from heaven to music industry
I have a soft spot for Rebecca Furguson. The reason is because there are people in my family with the last name Ferguson and one name is named Rebecca. In all seriousness, though. I had a hard time getting used to this CD. Don't get me wrong, her album is great. The lyrics are emotionally charged and the music feels like it matches the mood of each song very appropriately (especially RUN FREE). What bothered me the most at first about this CD was Rebecca's voice! I know its silly. She is blessed with natural rasp, and she has such an even tone while she sings. Her voice sounds very mature and her overall music making ability seems very developed throughout this album. Now that I appreciate Ms. Furguson's voice far more, I really enjoy this album. It's classy, its soulful, its refreshing, its heaven to my ears! There are still sections of this album where I think Rebecca could have taken her voice further by yelling or roaring every so often. That is my only complaint anymore.Amazon says this album is simply a pop album, but cramming it into that genre robs her of a fan base. I think there is a lot of great R&B, jazz, soul tones to this album. In comparison to other similar artists, Emeli Sandé seems far more poppy than Rebecca Ferguson. Their overall style seems very different in general, though. Also, her overall artistry surpasses Elle Varner's for sure. More accurate comparisons to her would be Missy Higgins, Sara Bareilles and maybe ZZ Ward

Rebecca Ferguson hits a home run with this EXTENDED LIMITED EDITION CD
I have the HEAVEN CD but I wanted this one for the bonus tracks. I enjoyher live performances immensely and for me these are worth the extra money.I first discovered Rebecca on X Factor in Britain. She is a true success story.Being a single mother from Liverpool and rising to such a level is a marvel. And so is her voice and her song writing abilities. When asked to record songsfor her first record I understand she declined and felt she should write her ownmaterial to be taken seriously. Both her HEAVEN CD and this FREEDOM CDare examples of fine songwriting, excellent production values and beautifulvocals. There are elements of Aretha Franklin and Sade but only slightly. She is truly unique and a pleasure to listen to - over and over again.5 stars for Rebecca!

Amazing voice
Having recently viewed this performers X Factor Uk experience, I could not wait to get my hands on this cd. Her songs are from her life experiences and they are a reflection of the person that Rebecca is. Her voice is instantly recognisable, classy and songs well written. Love ALL the songs on the cd, which is hard to say for even the most accomplished artists. I am consuming the cd on songs Shoulder to Shoulder, Teach Me How To Be Loved and the more up tempo Backtrack. Cannot wait for her next work to be released hopefully soon! Love it!

Satisfying
I first heard Rebecca Ferguson on my TV Music Channel quite by accident. I am someone who rarely listens to the radio due to the lack of true music there. I was intrigued by her voice and obvious roots in R&B. I sampled additional tracks of Heaven on Amazon and was willing to take the risk and purchased it. I was completely satisfied and even more impressed with the live and acoustic versions of her songs. Would love to catch her in concert. If you are a real music lover, particularly R&B then some faith will be restored that there is good music being made out there.

Great Find
This is one of those rare albums where you can listen from start to finish and the whole album leaves you feeling refreshed and in awe of what beauty people are capable of. Rebecca Ferguson is full of soul. I stumbled onto this album and found out she was a contestant on the British X Factor. My wife and I watched her progress through the show on You-tube with the judges reactions. It was very enjoyable to see her evolve from her nervous and tearful audition (where her voice carried her through) to a her final performances where she was radiating with self confidence and blew away the audience and judges. Heaven makes the most of her remarkable voice. She is a rare talent and I hope she gives us many more albums in the future.
