Excellent CD from Rebecca Ferguson!
FREEDOM is technically her 3rd CD (after Heaven and Heaven the Limited Edition)I first discovered Rebecca on X Factor in Britain. She is a true success story.Being a single mother from Liverpool and rising to such a level is a marvel. And so is her voice and her song writing abilities. When asked to record songsfor her first record I understand she declined and felt she should write her ownmaterial to be taken seriously. Both her HEAVEN CD and this FREEDOM CDare examples of fine songwriting, excellent production values and beautifulvocals. There are elements of Aretha Franklin and Sade but only slightly. She is truly unique and a pleasure to listen to - over and over again.5 stars for Rebecca!

Couldn't wait for the US release
I can't even begin to describe how much I love her voice. In an era of pop like radio hits that lack a certain quality of vocals voice and meaningful lyrics, Rebecca Ferguson is one of the artists that really stands out. Her first album is hands down amazing and filled with so much soul. I dare you not to cry even the slightest amount while listening to Shoulder to Shoulder or Teach Me How to Be Loved or Nothing's Real But Love or really any other song on Heaven. The vulnerability she lets come through makes her music so incredibly relateable as if she's singing about your own personal heartache. Freedom is no different. Each song makes you want to shut everything else out so that you can 100% devote all of your senses to listening to her voice and letting it surround you. I'd be hard pressed to pick a favorite because they're all so phenomenal.I have no idea when this album is supposed to release in the US and in a digital format, but honestly its worth paying for the physical. Upload it to your phone and your iPod and then put the cd in your car because you're going to be playing this magical piece of genius for the next unforeseeable future. At least that's what I plan on doing!p.s. she has a cover of Strange & Beautiful (I'll Put a Spell on You). Listen to it. It well melt your heart. Then gush to everyone else you know and share the amazing gift that is Rebecca Ferguson with them.[...]

Listening to album #1 and waiting for album #3
Bought this cd for my wife. It was hard to believe that this album is NO WHERE CLOSE to the first album. The first album is a 5++. The only reason I did not give this album a 1 or 2 is because amongst all that techno, house, and thumping music you can still hear her wonderful voice. The entire music track needs to be removed and re-dubbed. It appears this cd was made for a different crowd - of which I am not a part of. I think it might appeal to a younger audience who likes that sound. Keeping my fingers crossed for album #3.

LISTENING TO AN ORIGINAL!
i watched her on BGT. Her voice is one of a kind. She is compared to Holiday, Simone, etc. but this singer has a style and depth all her own. She writes her songs so each one is also a story...like Sting and Bruce. Never get tired of listening to her. Definitely NOT background music!

EXCELLENT CD! A "MUST HAVE" FOR YOUR COLLECTION!!!
This is an EXCELLENT CD!!! The music, lyrics, Rebecca's voice, the song selections... all perfectly put together! And it's "refreshing" to listen to also. If you're tired of the same old stuff played on the radio BUY THIS CD! And what a surprising treat to have John Legend do a duet.

I really enjoy Rebecca Ferguson's music and lyrics
I really enjoy Rebecca Ferguson's music and lyrics. This is another great collection of songs. "Bridges" w/ John Legend is a powerful song, well written and performed by the duo. "I Hope", "Wonderful World", and "I Choose You", are fantastic.
