Many, many years ago, a name brand manufacturer that sold hair clips in local drug stores made a Concord clip out of plastic. Since it was plastic, it didn't last forever, so I'd occasionally have to re-purchase. I didn't mind it so much, as I have fine hair that doesn't have a lot of volume, and those clips actually did a great job of holding my hair up. They were super useful. I loved them. Then, one day, they vanished. At first, I was fairly panicked. I searched eBay = no luck. I shopped Amazon = nope. At some point I came to peace with the fact that I'd never find a Concord clip that I could wear out in public again (sure, maybe there were some made that looked like they were for salon use, but who would wear that out in public?). Every once in a while, when I was experiencing the sadness that not have one of those clips in my arsenal would bring, the feelings of nostalgia and longing would wash over me and I'd go on the internet searching in vain. Oh, the time I'd wasted looking. Then, one magical day, in the midst of yet another messy hair clip fiasco and one very sad looking pony tail, I searched again. WHAT? A *PACK* OF THEM? IN METAL??? I couldn't place my order quickly enough. I counted days. I checked the mail. Stalked my own porch. When they arrived (quickly), I immediately took to my mirror, twisted my hair up, and CELEBRATED. These hold my hair securely. They're minimalist so they go with just about everything. They look good. They're sturdy. I HAVE AN ENTIRE PACK OF THEM. I did give one to one of my sisters, because she, too, knows this struggle. I'm going to purchase another pack of them so that I have them everywhere and am ready for the zombie apocalypse. I will never be without Concord clips again! I highly recommend these. They're awesome, and one of my favorite purchases here on Amazon of all time.

It is very nice; we typically use this style to design our headpiece. It is easy to put on and remove from the hair without gel, unlike other options that may pull or tangle some hair.

Slippery when you’re working with wet hair (on outside, not actual hair grip) but otherwise works amazing. I have thick 4c hair and other large clips usually break while I’m using them. These have held up perfectly, I’m very happy with them.

The springs are very strong. They are good for parting. They are metal rigid. No pulling. Excellent value. So far it’s been a great purchase. They’re also attractive enough to wear in a style, unlike alligator clips. I use them every day. They’re the best clips I’ve ever owned.

I have fine hair, and there’s A LOT of it - which makes finding a clip that will stay in place and hold my hair all day nearly impossible! I was looking for for something in a different style, but bought these based on reviews from others and I am so glad that I took the risk!! After wearing them for 2 days, I can vouch (to all of my fine-haired-but-LOTS-of-it-sisters) that these are not heavy, won’t weigh your hair down, give a headache AND MOST IMPORTANTLY they will stay in place ALL DAY!!!! Get these - you’ll be able to do you’re hair in minutes every morning with no worries & stop taking those annoying “running to the bathroom to check your hair breaks” during the work day!! *Note to the detail oriented readers: Over the past 2 days of WONDERFUL worry-free & headache-free use of these clips - I should state that, in addition to using 2 clips to hold my hair, I also used a couple of big bobby-pins to stabilize the bottom of my “twist” because my fine hair tends to slip/slide & these clips aren’t designed to close at bath ends (like a banana clip) - I don’t consider using the bobby-pins to be a problem with the clip*

I use these clips on wash day to separate my hair while I de-tangle and style. The clips are strong and solid. They have a little weight to them. They stay in place and don't slip off. I actually like them until it is time to open them and you have products on your fingertips. The smooth sleek design then becomes a problem to hold and open. My frustration grows as I struggle to open it. A great improvement would be to redesign with some sort of texture where it is pinched to open. For this reason alone I rate 3 stars.

Nice clips, very strong and stable, doesn't have any springs that catch and pull your hair like some accessories do, so they remain comfortable even if they twist or turn a bit.

Honestly, these are so good!! I have very long, thick, heavy hair and have a hard time finding things that can hold it up. With similar clips in the past, either I've had to use two clips, or they just didn't work at all - but these clips are amazing. Just one clip is enough to securely hold up a twist of hair. I can't believe it! These are solid and well made. So happy to find them!

I like them. As expected. Metal, good gripping hair clips. Thankfully I have lots of hair so I need sturdy, big hair clips that don't pull out my hair. These are doing it.

Love the strength of these clips. I can use a singular clip to hold my thick hair in a french twist (clip across the centre), no hair spray / gels or extra pins required. Very pleased. These are the only clips that have worked for holding my thick hair up and back. Thank you very much.
