Great size for my 4 lb dog!
Great for cleaning teeth, and my 4lb. Chihuahua loves these taste! It’s the perfect size for her tiny mouth, and she can also carry it around. A bag this size will last her about 3-4 months as I give her one stick a week or every other week, so it’s a good value for the cost. It’s easy to use and to keep the product fresh for many months by closing the zip bag correctly. Sometimes she hides them in her bed for later use. I have ordered several packages before this one and my dog never gets tired of the taste. It is effective in keeping her teeth clean between brushing

Great way to keep your dog's teeth clean
I have a 10 1/2 year old terrier mix. She has NEVER had her teeth cleaned professionally at the vet's office. I have brushed her teeth on occasion over the years, but for quite a while now I have been giving her 1/2 of a stick of these twice a day. Not only does she love them, but they have been an excellent method for keeping her teeth pretty much tartar free. After her morning and evening walks, she awaits her dental chew.

Helps prevent plaque build-up when used daily.
I have two 8 lb dogs and both like these, the petite size. Consistently get 30 in a package, consistent length and thickness. One dog is crazy about them but there isn't anything edible he doesn't like. The other doesn't always eat his at one sitting but he won't let the other dog take it away from him. To me they smell like non-food.These chews aren't rawhide, at least the very small ones aren't. They are brittle and break off when bitten. All chews are choking hazards. For my crazy boy, I've had to do the choking manuever twice on him, once for rawhide and once for watermelon since he won't chew anything he thinks may be taken away from him, he just tries to swallow it whole.I have used the larger chews for my standard poodles when they were still living. All my dogs have benefited from these chews. My old poodles only required one dental cleaning during their lives. My current little guys (known for teeth problems) have no tartar build up at 4 and 5 years old. Part of this is because they also like to chew on their toys and play fetch. I do no other dental care with them.Hope this helps.

Vet recommended
The dogs' vet recommends these. So far there has been a little improvement on our dogs teeth so we will see during the next check up if they are really working. He's a picky eater and he's actually eating them so that's a plus, it must taste alright.

HAZARD…formed compact solid chunk, blocked off circumference of my pugs airway
The Chews are very dangerous, they don’t dissolve (not even in chunks or pieces), severe choking hazard. My pug had been chewing on it constantly for over an hour. She’d chew it for a bit and then spit it out for a few then start chewing on it again. I thought she was just taking her time to enjoy it. Turns out it was not very chewable and got wadded up into a small condensed rock hard chunk. So she tried to swallow the whole chunk since it wouldn’t soften up or break apart. She rapidly started struggling to breathe. I quickly jammed my fingers down her throat and dug it out. She would have suffocated and died if I hadn’t been able to reach it. She’s a Pug and already has breathing & pallet difficulties. The description when purchasing a single bag markets the item form as: CHEWABLES, single layer for easier digestion. The 3 pack markets the item form as: WAFERS, gulping whole chews reduce efficacy, “can be” harmful for dogs. Mentions nothing about possible choking hazard or even recommending supervision when the dog is chewing on it.My dogs have an obsession with chewing kongs, toys, antlers, sticks and even rocks. Never had any issues swallowing or gulping items down. They prefer to suck on it and carry it in their mouth wherever they go. I rarely purchase any type or form of rawhide due to a possible choking hazard. I read the reviews and that they are #1 with Vets for dental hygiene. I read several different descriptions and packages, didn’t see anything about possible choking hazard. It mentions if swallowed whole it reduces the efficacy and CAN be harmful to your dog. The way it’s worded gives the impression that if swallowed whole it might make your dog sick due to ingesting the abrasive dual enzyme system all at once…. Especially if you need to wash hands after handling it. No issues with the first couple of chews. But most of them were unable to be chewable and didn’t really breakdown/soften or pull apart so I would throw them out. I have seen many dogs attempt to swallow them whole, usually by softening it first. I had never witnessed or heard of a “chew” that folded up into a small rock solid rawhide. I was unfortunately unaware that was a possibility, I was monitoring them to make sure that when it was softened up they wouldn’t try to swallow the entire thing at once, like the package warned about. I heard her struggling to breathe so I tried immediately reached in her mouth trying to feel a huge soft long piece of rawhide. Couldn’t feel anything. Took my fingers out and she still couldn’t take a breath. So I reached as far down her throat as I could making a scooping motion with one finger to find what was blocking her airways. After pulling her tongue forward with my free hand I finally found the issue. Absolutely horrified that something could become so compact and flat with rugged edges that it could get stuck and block the circumference of her esophagus. Please clarify on your packaging and descriptions that it is VERY important to NEVER leave your dog unattended chewing any type of raw hide.

Great quality
A vet recommended these to me. The dogs really like them and no choking for them. I still watch when they start getting to a little piece and I try to take it away, but they have swallowed the end of it and seem to be just fine.

Great product but inconsistent/choking hazard
My dog loves these chews. They do keep her teeth clean as well. I have been buying two bags every month for at least 3 years. I do have a few issues with them lately, first being they are very inconsistent with thickness, some chews are 1/8” thick and others are almost paper thin, my dog prefers the latter. Some bags have noticeably more flavor added than others and lately have like a coating that is plastic like. Warning: They are also a choking hazard as dogs chew off larger pieces they get stuck either in the roof of the mouth or back of the throat, so watch your dog while eating these chews. I can’t tell you how many times I had to swipe the back of my dog’s throat.
