A very clever gift- See our photos.
I got this for my stepdad as a birthday gift- we are a family of photographers and I knew he'd get a kick out of carrying this around on shoots. Ironically the product images don't really do it justice. I'd read reviews before buying it and I was unsure how it would look when it arrived. It almost seems like Amazon might have some old inventory or models in their stock that some other buyers have received? After reading the critical reviews I was really worried about the drinking on the go situation as some had mentioned there being no spout and others mentioned an issue with a gasket seal. Here's what we found (photos attached.)*The box looks a little cheesy and dated and can certainly use an update, however it does arrived boxed, which makes gifting easier.*The outer shell (the part that looks like a lens) seems to be all one piece with the exception of the focus and zoom rings- those are rubber bands that do tend to slide up or down a little with excess handling. We thought the macro indicators were just fancy stickers at first but they actually seem well set and inlaid into the plastic mold, if they are. I was a bit disappointed some of the switches (like the AF/MF) weren't moving parts, but that's just the geek in me. All in all, it looks a lot nicer than I expected for a $10 price point.*The tumbler inside the lens shell (I say shell but it is all one piece, they don't remove from one another) is high quality stainless steel and holds 11oz of fluid. This is a little smaller than I like for a tumbler- if you're a photographer you probably take more than 11ounces out on set/location. In any case it's overall presence is about accurate to a real lens.*The cap has a threading in which it attaches to the inner lip of the stainless steel mug. There is a notch to slide up or down to drink from and the lid comes off fairly easy with a twist to remove format. Because the interior is stainless steel we expect it to hold heat and keep cold things cold for a very long time- but, alas, this is a gift so I can't truly attest to that.*If the capacity isn't quite enough for you I'd suggest taking the lid off and using it on your desk for pens, SD cards, film collection, etc- it would make a wonderful nic nack for any photography fan.Having said all this- I m very critical of things looking cheesy or cheap- I wish this was advertised as being made in the U.S.A., but there's little I can do about that. I paid $7 for our mug (I got a very small discount in hopes I'd share our honest thoughts) and I am quite content giving it as a gift. It's quite clever and well designed in my opinion- I have added the Clear Lens version of this mug to my own wish list!

I will not be gifting this mug! :)
I got this mug for a friend of mine who is a photographer, but when it came I immediately started having guilty feelings, because I wanted to keep it! We have recently purchased a couple of good quality thermal mugs from Starbucks in our family, and therefore I never thought I would even be tempted to use more cupboard space for another thermal mug! However, when I took it out of its box, I was immediately impressed with how great the details were. I kept trying to flip the switches to see if they moved! They didn't...and while that is somewhat disappointing, I know it means no worries of things breaking off or getting gummed up with dirt from excessive use. Yes, I said excessive use...we don't skimp on our coffee around here!! :) The size is a little smaller than the ones we are used to, but it is just perfect for my liking. It fits wonderfully into the cup holder in the van and keeps my coffee HOT! I don't know how long it will keep it hot, because I don't generally let it sit long enough to worry about that. I have no reason to believe anything less, however, and if need be I will update my review later. I received a modest discount for my honest review, but was not compensated or coerced. No worries on that score...like I said we take coffee, and coffee mugs, seriously around here!!

Almost everything I wanted
It is an almost perfect product. It looks good and realistic, with two lids that are handy for different uses. You can use it as an ordinary bottle and as a thermos. And since it is compact and rugged you can use it as a container for various things. The only thing that makes it get 98% instead of 100% is that the sipping lid is a little hard and is a bit uncomfortable. And I personally would have liked if it had been used a softer fabric such as silicone. The last thing was that it would have been cool if you could move the buttons on the thermos aswell.

Really cool gift for photographers!
I ordered this mug as a gift for my coworker who is into photography for secret Santa! The packaging is kindve blah, but the cup is so cool. To the naked eye, it looks like a real lens!! I posted a video of it on my snapchat and got so many responses asking either 1. Where i purchased or 2. If i was gifting a real lens for secret Santa! Lol hopefully my coworker loves it and it can withstand the coffee well! The only thing i can say at this moment to make it cooler would be if there was some way they could make the buttons move to make it even more realistic looking

Great purchase! But could have a couple improvements...
I absolutely love my camera mug! I was a little bit wary of it, mostly because some of the reviews I read said some of the writing wears off, but so far this has been a great purchase! One of the best parts is that it looks exactly like a Canon lens (just w/o the logo), and it's been really great tricking my friends by pretending to throw it to them. I'm also glad that it's black, so it won't show dirt. The item also arrived right on time; and, if you have a Keurig, it works great for a middle sized cup--not to full or low. Overall it's a great product. The only reason I gave it a four is because sadly the buttons don't move and I am afraid that over time the writing will wear off.

Love my new lens mug!
I received my lens mug quickly. I love the lens bag that comes with it! I also love the two lids. The one lid seals it so I can make my morning coffee, seal it up, put it in the camera bag, put in my purse and take it to work! Once I get to work I switch the lid and drink it at my desk still hot. I'm a videographer and editor, so this really suits me.

A fun gift to yourself or the photography enthusiast in your life
My mug arrived today and I am very excited. I just got an L series lens in the same focal length and it is a dead ringer for it side by side. I cannot wait to take it to photography class and get funny looks when people see me drinking out of my 'lens.' They added a lot of details that make it realistic. It has a nice metal lining and the lid is nice to sip from. My only complaint is the threads on the lids are a little tough to line up to screw it on properly the first try. All in all, this is a great product for any Canon or photography enthusiast.
