better than the rest
I bought this from Amazon for about $19 incl shipping. It got to me by regular mail 4 days after I placed my order. $19/3 computers = $6.33 per machine for internet security. I previously tested all the major competitor's products in real time for 30 days each. Some passed a lot of malware, some bogged the computer down, some interfered with my e-mail and some allowed viruses to pass. I have run real-time tests with malware scanners and sandboxes on my machines. Of the several products I tested, this one has come closer to a perfect score than the others. My malware scanners come up with zero malware now most of the time and the competing products always passed some each day. This product is the least invasive of any other - meaning it doesn't bother me with pop-ups at all and doesn't slow my computers down. I worry less about malare and viruses now and enjoy my computer time most using this product. It auto-scans each day unnoticed. If I use the scan button, it takes less than 2 min to do a full scan. Add the fact that I got it so cheaply and fast, then I have something to be very happy about. How would I rank the competition? #2 Norton. (it's almost as good), like all the competition the scans take quite awhile. #3 Kaspersky - doesn't bog the machine badly but passes malware. #4 BitDefender - heavy program, does the A-V job effectively, passess malware, uses noticeable computer power. #5 ESET - not a resource-heavy program but I didn't test it as heavily as the rest but it gave me no real problems that I recall. AVG- best of all the free ones. Panda- it passed a Trojan to my machine. IOLO AV, crashes and needs re-install fairly often - I had it for a year. Very weak AV. Trend Micro - About as good as IOLO, maybe slightly better.

BEWARE of 3rd Party Vendors! Mine was EXPIRED!!!
As far as Webroot, I would give it 5 Stars. I have used it for 2 yrs with no problems except sometimes the keycode has to be put in a half dozen times for some reason, but we have it installed on 3 Laptops & 2 desktops. I decided to go with the 3 device package this yr since we Only use 3 laptops......Anyways, I went with the 3rd Party vendor because it was cheaper :/ BIG mistake, I ordered 2/14 & received 2/20 & I went to install it tonight because mine keeps telling me my current subscription has 20 days left & it said EXPIRED, I reentered the code 6 times to make sure I didn't make any mistakes & it said EXPIRED. The box I got didn't look like the one pictured, & said something about being a >>"Special PC Bundle Offer" , Activated at Purchase. Install immediately<<. So where ever this originally came from it must have been activated on purchase with whatever PC bundle it came with. It is NOT 2013, as no where on the box does it say 2013, the only dates I can find are references to 2011 & 2012. So it must be over a yr old or more to be totally expired. I filled out the return info & am waiting on a response. Since it was from a 3rd party vendor you must have to go through a different process on returning items & getting a refund, since it said they will send the info to the seller & I need to wait for a reply about returning it? ****************SO BEWARE OF 3RD PARTY VENDORS************* Save yourself the headache & aggravation & pay more & BUY FROM AMAZON!****I will re-update with 5 STARS for the Webroot Product ASAP when I get this straightened out from the seller & get a new one.****

AVOID! This is a Best buy 6 month disc.
This is a 1 star because of seller not Webroot. I assumed I was getting a 1 year key code. What I got was a Best Buy 6 month CD. The same disc I've gotten in the past for free from purchases made at BB. Did I miss something? I didn't see that mentioned in the description ( I could have missed it). The worst part. The keycode on this disc will not transfer to existing Webroot accounts, which I have. I called Webroot and since this is a Best Buy disk, they will direct you to BB. The Geeksquad didn't help since this key code is for "new accounts only". So this is useless to me. Geeksquad's advice was to sign up for auto renewal.... lovely. The case also says it's activated at purchase. I asked Geeksquad about that, they told me I should try calling back when my current subscription runs out and they MIGHT be able to work something out for me. What the...?

Best Product ... Shame on Amazon for allowing expired products to be shipped.
Webroot products r the best. But Amazon shipped me an expired Webroot subscription. So SHAME on Amazon. But I assure anybody out there to not hesitate in buying a subscription of Webroot. I recommend to all my clients. Best thing going in Antivirus. Unfortunately Amazon 'FULFILLS' orders from less than honest 3rd parties. Do Not order from 3rd parties ... EVEN if Amazon is fulfilling it. Not worth the headache. This is what showed when i entered the Keycode into my Webroot console. Such a great product! But Expired before i ever received it.Keycode Edition Devices Days Remaining Upgrade/RenewSA86-AABB-2239-XXXX-XXXX Internet Security Plus 3 Expired Upgrade/Renew

It works but I feel that there are better choices.
Once again, the program works but I feel that there are better choices in that it felt sort of clunky to use. I personally preferred using the paid version of AVG as it has almost the same rating but in my books, is far slicker from a users point of view.
