Excellent customer service
[UPDATE] My original review is below. I'm upgrading from 1 star to 5 after the impressive customer service efforts to get my camera connected. They sent me a second, newer camera, sent me instructions on how to update the firmware, sent me frequently emails to ask about my progress, and we finally got the camera working. It is now out in my backyard, inside my chicken coup, helping me determine which chickens are layers and which are freeloaders. ;)The app works well, but consumes a lot of battery. It burns through literally 50% of my battery which generally lasts all day, in under an hour. I've seen others complain that the camera disconnects from the wifi, mine has not done this. The app allows you to save several presets and bounce between them with a single tap. Audio works great. Now that I'm past the connectivity issues, I really like this product.I would recommend they publish the instructions for updating the firmware. Everyone should have those as an additional thing to try.I also believe I found a bug in their app. I think it may be why my camera couldn't connect to my wifi. When I displayed the QR code on my phone to the camera, it was on a black background because I have "Dark theme" enabled. Only after I disabled dark theme so the QR was on a white background, was I able to connect.~~~~~ Original post ~~~~~~As soon as it arrived, I followed the documented instructions to connect this to my (non-5G) wifi network. Nothing worked. The camera never read the QR code shown in the app, in fact I got no indication the camera lens was even working! I tried all the connection options provided in the instructions, including calling the phone number listed in the app after all other methods have failed. I've called 4 times over the last 2 days and no answer. Not even a vm greeting. Just, no answer!The app has a bug, when you scan the QR code on the bottom of the camera to do the "manual" connection option, the wifi network selection field remains empty and becomes unresponsive, meaning there is no way to use the manual option.Additionally, after installing the app on my mobile device, I discovered that it has a 3-star rating with lots and lots of complaints about it, that I wish I had known before I bought this. Before you buy this, review the app "Wansview Cloud" in the app store to make an informed decision. I'll upgrade my rating if they make this right for me and the device and its app work as they should.

Phenomenal support, product and software!
Here are my thoughts after a few months of daily use:TL:DRI picked up this camera for our nursery and at first had some issues with the Advanced Features section of the Android app. I contacted support and heard from them promptly and they were cordial and helpful. Since getting the inversion and night vision features working as expected I've been nothing but impressed with every aspect of the product.Hardware:The camera itself is lightweight but fairly sturdy. The construction is entirely plastic, which is to be expected at this price point, but doesn't feel flimsy or look cheap. It's not noisy when it moves around and the audio and video quality are exactly what they claim. It's perfect for the purpose of a basic indoor camera and extraordinarily cheap for what it does.Software:The mobile app is really nice. It's simple and intuitive to use, but also feature rich if you want to setup an SD card or use features like motion-detecting recording. The archive is easy to browse and access. The camera even works well with 3rd party applications or if you just want to use a standard web browser to access the RTSP feed and allows for SD or HD quality streaming. If you want to enable it for cloud use there is an additional charge, but at this price point that is totally reasonable and I have not used that feature as I prefer to keep my recordings and access restricted locally.Support:As stated, I did need to contact Wansview for some help and was generally impressed with their response time and support.Cons:This is clearly an indoor camera, so I wouldn't recommend it for any outdoor applications. Additionally, I wish that it used USB-C instead of Micro-USB, but that is a very small complaint and as long as you're leaving it in place -I've seen a lot of Micro ports fail over time, but that is usually on music devices or phones, so this is adequate. Lastly, the included cord could be longer since it's a camera, but again, a very small issue.CONCLUSION:If you want an indoor camera for cheap, I cannot recommend this product enough. It does everything you'd expect better than you would expect and also includes a number of features that go above and beyond what you see in products in this cost range. Buy it and you will not regret it.

Eyes on my Pet
I was visiting family and they had this camera to observe their daughter's sessions with Occupational Therapy and also their kitties while away. My niece told me how wonderful it was and she could observe, hear, and talk to the kitties when they traveled which gave them comfort. I immediately ordered one for my son so he could keep an eye on his kitties, and I then ordered two for me to keep an eye on my dog when I'm out. I needed two because the one room is an office and closed off, so two worked great. I had an issue (due to my own ignorance) with the 2nd one but it was quickly resolved by great customer service. Follow up was impressive as well. Any issues, they respond quickly, they are there to help. So now I can see my fur baby when away and speak to him which lessens my anxiety. Was really simple to set up. Just follow the instructions. As a follow up; Melody just checked in to make sure all was in working order. Somehow my review didn't get posted, so now I am posting. It's been over a year since I set up the cameras and they continue to bring me peace when I can keep an eye on my fur baby when I'm not at home. I have 2 set up to view the areas he goes to. Thanks Melody for the follow up and I am pleased with my Q5 cameras! My son also bought one for his kitties.
