Best all-around stripper
A bit expensive, but still one of the best wire strippers around. I use it for all types of wire from 28 gauge to 12 gauge, for fine electronics work to household wiring. The grips are great in both and and cold weather.

No substitute for good tools.
Really well made tool. I didn't realize how bad my old wire stripper was until I replaced it with something good. Does a great job.

Awesome strippers, stupid handle lock
These are awesome strippers. The lock is absolutely annoying. It locks all the time when I'm stripping wires, but other than that these are perfect.

Excellent wire strippers
These are the old standbys and they work great. The blades are sharp, the steel is good quality, the handles are comfortable to use, the tool itself is fairly light. I have been limping on for years using a razer to strip wires, because all you need is a little blade and your set, but this is *far* better. I prefer this type to the heavier universal strippers, seems easier to control.I purchased this and the larger-gauge cousin (Klein Tools 11055, with the yellow stripe) so I could work with the full range of wire. I always buy US made tools when possible, so I'm satisfied that this will be a worthwhile investment.Would recommend.

Favorite wire strippers
Hard to find a set of strippers for 6AWG. I prefer these over orange Southwire wire stripper that also goes up to 6AWG. Southwire strippers tend to nick wire, and locking mechanism constantly engages while trying to strip wire. I do not have that problem with the Klein strippers.

Very Good, but Quality Has Declined.
Like most people here, I like to purchase tools made in the U.S.A. I've also had very good luck with German-made tools like Knipex, Wera, etc., and Hakko-branded CHP made in Italy for electrical work. While I LOVE that Klein is still made in the U.S., the durability isn't what it used to be... which I suppose I understand if they want to keep it at this price point. This newer model I used for a maybe 10 minutes a week and it lasted about ~4 years to the point where it doesn't work at all. The older model is over 20 years old I believe and it still cuts fairly well. Not as well as a fresh new sharp one but it's still serviceable. I had some of the uncurved Hakko strippers and those went even faster, maybe 2-3 years of light but regular use.I'd say for the price the ergonomics, fit, and finish are excellent. Personally I'd spend $50-60 on something that I wouldn't have to toss every 4 years though. Unfortunately Knipex doesn't make traditional wire strippers than handle above 20 gauge, so while not as attractive or ergonomic, the Hakko CHP CSP-30-1 seems to hold a sharper edge better than this new model. It gets the same amount of use and it's still in really excellent shape after 3+ years use. I will say that I prefer the hand-feel of the Klein for stripping a jacket.TL;DR: This is still a solid, ergonomic wire stripper that's made in the U.S.A., just not as durable as it used to be, and the Hakko CHP made in Italy will last longer despite being less ergonomic.

Good for small wires
I bought this stripper for small wire gauges, for which it has worked pretty well. The handle is comfortable and the unit strips pretty cleanly. Very useful.
