The Land of Stories Complete Paperback Gift Box Set 6 Books Collection by Chris Colfer

The early teen contingency in our granddaughter's neighborhood is having a book-a-thon to carry learning and competition through the summer months. The gift was for our grand daughter's 13th birthday - but many children will benefit. This sharing of books was entirely the children's idea. I am very impressed at their ability to share and learn.

My son and I read this series over the last several months. It's so good. Such a fun take on classic fairy tales. He actually became interested in Grimm's fairy tales because of these books. Now he's reading actual creepy Grimm stuff...so that's fun.

I try to read after dinner in our household to our 3 kids (2 boys, 1 girl), who range from 8-12 years old. I struggle to find a series that isn't too mature, but still is engaging for the younger kids. I picked this up on a whim and we absolutely loved it. We laughed out loud, my husband and I cried at some very poignant parenting moments, and the characters had depth and memorability. We burned though the entire 6 book series in less than 6 months (over 3000 pages!), and everyone was sad when the series ended. (Our favorite characters were Red Riding Hood and Mother Goose.) This was probably one of the best written children series I've ever read. Please, read this to your kids, and I promise you'll love it, too!

This is a lovely boxed set. Very pretty. The stories are funny and engaging. My daughter really likes them. The only reason I gave four stars is because I personally believe they are a bit predictable and not an overly original idea, but she has no complaints and they are written for kids so that's probably all that matters. We read these together every night before bed. We usually laugh and have things to talk about during each reading. On number two right now.

Great twist to our childhood stories. Cannot wait till my grandsons are older to read them too

I loved the entire story line, and how it leads up to the most exciting adventures.I am on book 5, and am excited to read 6!Great that it is a boxed set and you can keep them together.

I have been sharing this series over FaceTime with my not quite 9 year old grandson who moved across country but he is now two books ahead of me. I can honestly say he has not only learned to read from the Land of Stories but also developed a true love of reading!

I got these to read with my 6 year old daughter. Even without pictures she seems to really enjoy listening to me read it. It has a totally different spin on fairy tail stories. They have been really fun to read with her!

I had bought the first book in this series for my niece and she enjoyed it so much I ordered the whole set.
