Great way to get children 'doing' whilst learning to help support them. Sadly gone to use it for the first time today and only seem to have letter vowel 'a'.

4 cards double sided. Hence possible combinations are 8(c)*4(v)*8(c)(e, 4cs on reverse side captured in first 8). That's 256 possible combinations. Not every one of those 256 combos is a word, but if you're teaching the CVCe pattern, the child probably already knows a few words. That lends flexibility I valued while teaching my child. As of 10/2/2020 there are abysmal resources for teaching long vowel sounds. I'm very thankful I found this resource.

I sent this to my son’s teacher as a classroom surprise from her wishlist. The students and the teacher loved it.

Great product but not enough words. Not worth buying for classroom use.

Great for learning about magic e and how it changes the sound of the first vowel in the word. Preschool kids like flipping the sections so we can say the sounds and reveal the changes. I do feel the price is more than what it should be for the product it is.
