Complete HD Stop Motion Animation Kit | Stop Motion Animation Software with Full HD 1080P Camera, Animation Software & Book (Windows & OS X)

I purchased this for my 7 and 10 year old boys. They have already made a couple of movies with it and have plans for many more. We're definitely going to get our moneys worth in terms of hours of entertainment. The SW is pretty easy to use. It's easy for both of my boys to take frames, but as far as putting them together into a movie I usually have to get involved. But that's not very time-consuming. The included book and quick-start guides are helpful. The camera is decent quality. You are going to need a stable place to mount it to make good movies. Customer support is great. I had an issue with the camera and sent StopMotion Explosion an email on a Sunday afternoon. I got a response within an hour, and a new camera within 4 business days. Service like that counts for a lot in my book. Bottom line: My kids enjoy this product and I feel like I got my money's worth.

This software is easy to set up and use. My 10 year old has been using his old tablet to make stop motion videos and this is a huge improvement for him! He is able to easily log on and take higher quality pictures and turn them into film much easier. There are fun sound effects and lots of tips in the book. It came with a CD to download the program but luckily offered an online download too, as the laptop he is using has no CD drive.this just made it even easier! Overall, a great product, well priced for what you get, and very easy to use for my 10 year old!

This camera was very easy to set up. Downloaded the software, plugged it in, and we were making movies. It does come with a sound program. I did look at it, but it looks like it might be a little tricky. Definitely need to read up on the instructions before we add any sound to our growing selection of movies.

The camera is nice and really the only thing we use from this kit. There were too many different things to download and for a beginner it felt like too much. We ended up downloading a stop motion app but still used the camera.

We first purchased this product for our son a couple of years ago but at the time it didn't interest him. Fast Forward to now and of course that is now his focus. When we set up the system, the camera did not work. Tried on several computers and nothing. Contacted StopMotion Explosion and they immediately sent us a new camera once we made sure all software options were attempted. We received the camera, plugged it in and immediately started working. My son created several stop motion videos within two days and loves it! Easy and intuitive, once we got a working camera we have had no issues and I am extremely happy with the experience. Highly Recommend

I bought this just for the camera when the big one hit in 2020. Web cams were not available anywhere. The camera worked for about a week, then driver errors from Windows 10 (on multiple computers). Ok, Windows update; I'll just update the drivers. Oh wait, there are no drivers on the support site. Reinstall of the software is recommended by the company to correct driver issues. Tried this. Nope. No luck. Could I contact the company? Maybe (looks like a small operation) Did I try? No. If you sell hardware, you need to provide drivers and provide update when windows updates. It is also possible this is not a driver issue as this camera is not working on multiple laptops. It could be the camera broke after a week. In either case camera is garbage. Did not use the software at all.

We bought this for our son's 12th birthday. He loves it! Previously, he was using an app on the iPad, but this has taken his stop motion Lego movies to a whole new level. We especially like the very clear and useful Quick Start Guide which allowed him to be fully operational in less than 30 minutes. The program allows him to incorporate music, sound effects, voiceovers, introductions, credits, and of course stop motion videos...and all in one very friendly user interface. The book has tons of illustrations and step-by-step instructions making it a great fit for the beginner and a useful tool for the more advanced. The book is also laid out in a very clear and logical manner so it's easy to navigate the pages to find what you're looking for without wasting time thumbing through hundreds of pages. This was a clear WIN for his birthday and is providing the exact tool he needed to take his fledgling movie producer career to the next level! Thanks!!!!

I'll keep the review plain and simple... - It's easy to use! (my 10yr old made his first movie in about 30 min) - It's got very good on-line videos / tutorials - The app is really good at showing you where the last frame stopped, and highlighting how much you're changing - It's easy to delete / replace a frame where you maybe messed up (left your hand in place or something) - It exports very easily to a number of different formats A couple of additional comments... - The camera seems to be robust enough for kids to not break it - The book that comes with it is more about stop motion movies, and movie making than about the software or camera (these are easy to use) - If you don't have a CD / DVD ROM drive don't despair... you can download the software / drivers from their website. Finally... it's meant for kids to play and get introduced to Stop Motion... it is NOT meant to make the next Hollywood Block Buster (although who knows?!). Overall I would definitely recommend it!
