I couldn’t be more impressed with these GeilSpace 3/4" × 36" metal pipes. They arrived perfectly wrapped in pairs, ensuring the protective coating stayed intact. A quick wipe down with a bit of acetone and steel wool, followed by a light coating of Boeshield T-9, and they were ready for action. I’m using them to create custom woodworking clamps, and the quality and durability are immediately apparent. I purchased this pipe for use as pipe clamps. With Bessey parallel clamps, I found I was often 1 or 2 inches too short, and the 3feet clamps with pipe clamps provide a throat of about six inches more than a Bessey clamp. Read on for my impressions after testing the clamps.-- OILED: The pipes are oiled to prevent rust, and a simple wipe with a cloth cleaned them up adequately for use as pipe clamps.-- NICE THREADS: The threads are nicely cut, very clean, with no burrs, even from shipping, and are not painted or anodized, just steel.-- FIT CLAMPS PERFECTLY: The 3/4 inch pipe threaded into the clamp perfectly and went deep into the clamp for a solid connection. See the attached picture.-- NO DEFLECTION: I applied the clamps on a piece of 30-inch long, 1-inch thick maple which was perfectly flat, and set the pipe on the board. When tightening the clamp to the maximum pressure that I could apply with both hands (much more than would ever be done in practice when gluing wood) and inspecting the gap between the flat board and the pipe, I saw no gap. The pipe remained perfectly straight. See the attached picture.-- Soft Steel: The black pipe, iron or steel, is fairly soft, and the pipe clamps will leave deep gouges. Over a long period of use, the gouges will build up, and the clamp may tend to catch on the gouges as one slides the pipe clamp up and down the pipe, which will be annoying but will not affect the functionality.-- GOOD PRICE: These clamps were about ¼ the cost of the same length clamp at the brick-and-mortar store.

Just wanted to write a quick review on this product I purchased . This Threaded pipe i bought came in handy for the job i was trying to accomplish . Worked perfectly for me . I had to extend the T Handle on a water valve shut off tool that i had to be able to put a little more torque on it by extending the top part of the handle on each side ! Didn't have but 12 inches across the top of the handle but now have 36 inches . Makes it a whole lot easier to open and close the water valve . But this threaded pipe is well cut and well threaded and you can also get it in different sizes and lengths . This Threaded pipe can also be used for all kind of uses and looks good coated in black and the Seller really cares about your satisfaction .

These pipes are painted black and shipped with rust prevention coating oil. The oil is sticky, so it must be cleaned up before use. I highly recommend using vinyl gloves for this. The pipes are threaded at both ends and do not come with a plastic cap to protect the threads. However, the threads were found to work perfectly with the Bessey Pipe Clamps. These pipes have the same wall thickness, strength, and structure as galvanized pipes, at almost 1/2 the cost. They are painted black so they can mark the workpiece. I would use a butcher paper or something to protect the appearance of the workpiece during the glue-up.

These are excellent, high quality pipes just like you'd find at any hardware store, but at a far cheaper price! I'm using them for bar clamps, and they work exactly like they're supposed to. They came well packaged for protection. I had a hiccup with my first order, and this seller was almost immediately responsive to address my problem. Thank you!

They work great with Bessey pipe clamps! My only complaint is one others have had. They come with some sort of grease on them as a protection layer. They definitely need a thorough cleaning if you’re using them with clamps unless you want grease on everything you touch.

These were exactly what I needed and at a great price.
