Mr. Right

Let me say that this story’s plot had some major holes in it. First, how is MyMrRight.com not an escort service? If it is not an escort service what is it? Second, how does the male love interest fall in love with his client and still take money for taking her out? Not getting it. Lastly, this has nothing to do with the plot, but as adorable as Columbus Short is, his hair cut with the part in the front and mohawk in the back was absolutely insane. With that said, can I say that Columbus never looked so cute… Also, I hesitated on watching this movie because of the whole MyMrRight.com premise but I am so glad that I went ahead and watched it. It is absolutely adorable. Columbus Short and Erica Tazel have beautiful chemistry that ignites the screen. Erica is not your typical Black-ish/Mixed-ish main lady. She’s the beautiful sister you see in everyday life but hardly in the movies as a love interest. It was refreshing to watch. The best thing about the film was that it was written by a male. All the beautiful lines that Columbus delivered so convincingly about loving this sister was written by the brother in the second scene in the movie (Lisa’s blind date who made her pay for dinner), Dominic Santana,. This is a must-see if you are a fan of rom-coms. The casting was on point. I loved Frank Brinkley (Rodney Perry), Fontaine (Jackie Long), Mrs. Norma Jenkins Hernandez (Dawn Halfkenny), Seth (David Moore) and Michelle (Reece Odum). The story was light and hopeful, a much-needed break from all the real-life drama and over the top action movies plus it was quietly hilarious.

I loved this movie so much. Often times i watch things like hallmark because it is a good clean movie. What i do not love about hallmark is that they do not tell our stories or happy stories with us in them. So this just gave me all of the feels. I enjoyed most of it. The part i was a bit sad about was the sound at the end if that was fixed this would be a 10 in my book .. loved the storyline.

This was a really good movie. I would have gave five stars but I don't care for all the unnecessary cursing in the movie but the story line was super cute. Besides, who does not like Columbus short. He has always been an awesome actor and regardless of whatever, you can't take that one aspect from him. The leading actress was really good as well... I would even watch again...oh and men, my husband liked it as well.

I thought it was ok, only because Columbus and the leading lady really had no real chemistry between them. He was lively and she was rather boring, real flat and uninteresting. I am also surprised they chose a brown skin woman as the lead..kudos to them for that. Other than that, the movie was light hearted and it did not leave me with the feeling that I've wasted my time.

I saw this movie on TV and thought it soooo cute!! However the movie on DVD is fantastic..no commercials & couple scenes that were cut on regular TV. I enjoyed Erica Tazel as U.S. Marshall on FX Justified

The actors had chemistry! Columbus Short was so convincing, he gave me hope! Lol
