Sustain Natural Organic Tampons with Applicator, 36 Count (Regular)

I don’t usually use tampons because I can’t find a brand that doesn’t irritate me down there. But these don’t and they are incredible. I’m so happy I found them. I’m in love with some of their other products like condoms and lube too. The natural ingredients don’t irritate me as much as most the most popular brand. I would recommend their products to anyone.

Omg these are terrible. Applicator is awful. Horrible absorbency. Going back to 7th generation.

I feel the need to edit this review. I liked the regular tampons so much, that I ordered the supers. While wearing a super, I started to feel uncomfortable, and could feel I was beginning to leak. When I removed the tampon I noticed it expanded side to side. I was sure the regulars expanded all the way around, but I wasted two tampons just to be sure I had the correct information in my original review. Unfortunately, the sizes do expand differently. The attached picture is a side by side of regular and super absorbency. I dipped them in water to show the expanding pattern. I'm pretty disappointed, and not sure why they'd do it this way. The days we need super absorbency, are the days we really can't be leaking and uncomfortable. 5 stars for regular size, 2 for super. New rating=3.I've been a loyal Playtex user for 20 years, because they were the only tampons I knew of that expanded all the way around (like an umbrella) instead of just side to side. Once you try the 360° expanders, you can't switch to the side-to-sides. They leak, they're uncomfortable, they're the worst. Anyway, these Sustain Natural tampons expand all the way around! They're comfortable, they're absorbent, they 100% organic cotton with no harmful chemicals. There's really nothing about these I don't love. Except maybe the multiple boxes. Why not just sell 36 tampons in one box instead of 3? I don't know. But I do know that I've finally tried an organic brand that I don't hate.

These Sustain Natural Organic tampons WITH APPLICATOR are 1st rate. They are 100 % expandable absorbing optimally. They won't leak. They do not contain irritating chemicals. The price is reasonable considering the quality. These are equal to Kotex in my opinion but a little more expensive. 4 stars. A bit pricey.

I received 3 boxes of regular sized tampons. Each Box contains 12 individually wrapped tampons. There are 36 tampons in total. This was a little confusing and I feel the description should be a little more detailed in explaining this because I thought each box would contain 36 tampons. My fault! I just felt it worth it to clarify. What sets these apart from other tampons you buy in the store? This applicators that they come in are actually made with 90% sugarcane. Wow. I thought that was really cool and ingenious. I'm sitting here imagining how much waste we add to the environment every year just on plastic applicators alone. This can really be a great way to save on waste and use materials we already have.Also, the tampons themselves are made with 100% cotton and are organic. They don't have any synthetic chemicals, materials, dyes or anything else in them. This brings me more of a piece of mind because I generally try to only use tampons when I need to be out and about and don't want to have to worry about my pad showing. The reason for this is because I worry about putting something into my body that contains these foreign materials. I don't have to worry about that with these tampons because they are more natural and clean and I have less of a chance of getting an infection from these.Over all, these are great tampons and they feel just like regular ordinary tampons when you put them in. I really can tell no difference between them and some of the other name brands I use. They are as absorbent as other regular tampons I use. They are more expensive but they are also safer and better for the environment so you decide whether or not you're willing to spend the extra money.

Let me first say I would never pay $17 for 36 Tampons even if they are organic or nitrosamine free. What is nitrosamine free?? I really found no real answer to fully describe it. Personally, for the short period of time you wear a tampon I do not think it matters. You are not ingesting them. As far as how a tampon works, they are fine. They are packaged compact, I like that they take up a smaller footprint in a cardboard box, though they use three small boxes so, they actually do not save the environment. They do come with a plastic applicator, however the way they are packaged you must slightly pull the applicator push part out to extend it so after you insert it, it will insert the tampon. You can not use the tampon as it is out of the plastic wrap. I took a pic that shows the packaged tampon, the open tampon, and the extended applicator ready for use tampon. It is nice that the smaller size is more discreet. The tampon is slightly shorter but expands a little wider than the popular brands. They are regular and lean toward absorbing less than a regular name brand tampon. Not much else to say, they work fine, but the price is way too high for me to consider repurchasing. A box of Target brand 36 count is about $4 and a 36 count Playtex Pearls is about $7. Need I say more.....

I am use to plastic applicators because they are so easy to use, but I'm trying to use less plastic not only to lesson pollution but for my overall health. These are such a nice, healthy alternative and it feels great knowing that there is nothing but natural products going in. The applicator works great, although it doesn't "click" or stop when you pull it up so it's easy to pull the applicator up too far and have to rethread the tampon back, but not a deal breaker. The cotton tampon is absorbent but I find that I have to change more often than other tampons. Overall, I really like the product, ingredients , and sustainability but the price is a bit steep which makes it a bit hard on the budget. I just wish all of our feminine products would be made without chemicals and not have to pay extra for natural products.
