Ziploc Freezer Bag, 2 Gallon Jumbo, 10-Count(Pack of 3)

Great for food storage, including loaves of homemade bread. Incredibly useful in packing for trips and organizing paperwork that needs to travel on rainy days. Holds magazines to take to the beach or pool in the summer. Affordable gym bag organizers (one for shoes, one for dirty clothes, one for clean clothes, one for swimsuit on lap swim days). Great for day trips to the beach or pool in the summer; actually fits my water shoes for my giant feet! I plan to take some with fishing this summer too. they hold a ton, they're incredibly durable, and as such, they're reusable too. So thankful I can find them here, as the local stores don't carry them!

For some reason few of my local stores carry the 2-gallon size of these bags ( you can even find 2 1/2 gallon size at Amazon). When I buy packaged meats including chicken etc. at the grocery store I slip them unwrapped into these 2-gallon bags and stow them in the freezer. After cooking a turkey I cut the carcass in two and store each half in a 2-gallon size Ziploc bag. This saves all the small pieces of meat that otherwise might be thrown away and which now can be saved for soup making. I have saved drumsticks ( my family does not like dark meat) and other unused turkey parts e.g. wings, for two years in my freezer in these bags. When I bake or buy extra bread I --you guessed it--place them into one of these larger capacity bags. If I am tired from cooking dinner and don't want to spend time packaging leftovers I simply take each individual casserole dish, place it in one of these large capacity bags and stow them in the freezer. When traveling I pack each pair of shoes in an individual 2-gallon Ziploc bag. I have other uses for these bags but you will find your own. In closing I have found this brand of freezer storage bags just as capable of protecting foods from freezer burn as the more expensive zipper bags currently on the market.

These size bags are great for craft projects. I often work on different projects on road trips or on the bus/metro while commuting and this size bag is great for keeping all the different pieces and supplies together. They are the thickness of a regular gallon size freezer bag, so they would be punctured by knitting needles, scissors, etc. I just throw my scissors in a small fabric pouch to keep that from happening; this also protects my project from getting punctured along the way. I carry it around in my purse every day (to work on projects while commuting) and it has held up nicely. Bags are big enough to hold papers or file folders if needed.

These are great to have on hand for storing large amounts and keeping them. fresh.

I love the large size of the 2 gallon Ziploc Freezer bags. They're useful for larger food items, crafts, paperwork, yarn, etc. In the past, I've resorted to saving the plastic bags from large cereal boxes to use for over-sized items. I'll probably still save them because cereal bags are very strong, but I'll be using these 2 gallon freezer storage bags too & these zip closed!A couple ways I use large freezer bags:~I put 1 lb. of ground beef in a quart freezer bag. Then for extra protection from freezer burn, I put 3 or 4 one pound packages into a larger freezer bag & remove them as needed. These 2 gallon bags will be perfect for that.~I'm usually carrying around a crochet project to work on when I'm traveling or waiting for an appointment...these bags will be perfect for that too; they're big enough to hold my pattern, hooks & yarn.To save money & be more Earth friendly, I wash my freezer bags & re-use them. I don't like washing them, but I dislike throwing away a good Ziploc freezer bag even more.

I use these bags for storage of scientific sampling equipment and these bags are thicker than the regular storage bags and the seal is very clear cut on letting you know when the bag is actually sealed tight. They are very durable and hold a large capacity. These 2 gallon size are not easy to find as some stores do not carry this size and when they do they are around 5 dollars a box so with buying this 3 pack you are saving some money. I will buy again and again.***UPDATE***I have now bought (3) Packs of 3 of these Ziplock Bags. Still the best deal around as prices as I have said are in the $5.00 a box range if not more. The bags seal well and reseal well. I can't say enough at how much better these Freezer bags are than the storage bags of the same size.
