Are your products vegan?

Yves Rocher is a Brand that places plants at the heart of all its products. This is what has made its identity since its creation 60 years ago. All our products are created from plants: we select from more than 1,100 ingredients of plant and natural origin studied by our scientific experts, those which are best suited to the cosmetic benefits of each product, which respect the integrity of the skin and have less impact on the planet.

Our products can be considered 100% vegetarian and more than 600 product formulas are vegan and do not contain any ingredients of animal origin.

When there is no satisfactory alternative, we allow ourselves certain natural ingredients from animal production whose harvest does not harm the integrity of the animals (natural secretions such as Honey or Beeswax). These derivatives are used to contribute to the efficacy of the formulas and to improve the sensorial experience of the users.

In addition, we do not test and never encourage animal testing on our finished products or their ingredients.

Each ingredient in our formulas is measured for its safety and every formula undergoes numerous tests before commercialization.

As we are concerned by product safety awareness, we also follow our products very closely throughout their commercialization. 
Moreover, if your question involves being sensitive to one particular ingredient, we advise you to do a touch-test. This involves applying a small amount of the product to an area of skin on your forearm for several successive days. You will be able to observe yourself whether or not your skin reacts to the product. If it does then we recommend that you stop using it and seek advice from our customer services or the manager of your store in order to find a more suitable product.

Where are your products made?

Hello,

Most of our production is done in France at our three Brittany manufactories that make nearly 380 million products annually, which is almost 89% of our products.

In a few rare cases when we don’t have the expertise in making a requested technology, we will call in specialists. For example, our Vertige Eye Liner Pens are made in Germany.
