My from outside pads are worn out after 10k miles with this kit, has anyone else experienced this?

No not at all but they could of added more antisese for the Floating pins. I had a new Dodge that was dry and the outer pads only gripped. I hope this may point you in the right direction.

Which is better for a light truck: k3167 one click or k3167-36?

I installed the K3167-36 front brake kit on my 2013 F150 and am happy with it several thousand miles later. I will warn you to be careful when installing the pads as there are different pads for the inside and outside locations. I have not used the other kit you are referring to. I believe the only difference was the pads. Either way make sure to verify the correct pads installation locations and follow the break in procedure. Once installed, and broken in they stop the truck DRASTICALLY better than stock. Please keep in mind these are not stock brakes. Being cross-drilled and slotted they make much more noise. This is especially evident on slow braking up to a STOP sign when the slots travel across the pads.

How exactly are these stronger than the stock brakes?
