First, I am not an expert in knife sharpening. But I've been trying to perfect my skills over time, learning through different methods and tools. I've gotten pretty good at sharpening kitchen knifes and my Swiss army knifes. I've always thought I got the best results through whet stones (still is) but it's a hassle and time consuming. I've also got Sharpal 181N Dual-Grit Diamond Sharpening Stone with great results, though, it's long and skinny means that I couldn't always get the results I want, especially with some 'softer' and more 'flexible' blades. These credit card sharpening plates are great. I got the three pack and I've been getting much better results with all sorts of knifes so far, apart from the biggest ones in the kitchen. I am very pleased and highly recommend them.

Small easy to carry

Excellent material. Strong and efficient. Good grip and pocket size.

Used for touching up the edge of my garden edging shears. Works a treat, but now I will get the extra corse one as well.

slip into my turning jacket pocket for just touching up the chisel during turning.

I like the design. With the little round handle, I can easily hold it. I find it particularly useful for sharpening wood turning chisels and gouges.

Doesn't last long enough, didn't get 6 months out of it before it lost abrasive property

I'm glad with what Sharpal has done here. I use this Dimond stone sharpener very often and I get a good edge every time.

普段、キャンプでは、＃1200のモノだけ持ち歩いてます。 他は、青砥などで磨くのでなければ、簡易的なシャープナーとしてます。 何方かのレビューで剥がれ落ちるとあられましたが・・・ 単に研がれた刃物の削りかすの付着ではないのでしょうか？ 軽く拭き取ると、元の状態ですが・・・ ナイフなど数回磨いてみてだけなので、見た目では問題ないと思いました。
