It's Everything Every Review Said It Was.
I don't know whether to write a novel or a short paragraph saying: JUST BUY IT, ALREADY.If you're like me and focus primarily on slow speed / low rpm / rock crawlers, this thing will seem like it can achieve light speed it is so fast! I had watched a ton of videos about what to upgrade and things to look out for and every thing I saw on YouTube has been essentially true. It's a fun ride, so if you're thinking about it, just buy it.Mods:* The first thing I did was swap out the wheels and tires. The stocks ones are terrible. They're way too firm and, honestly, quite small for the job at hand. I used a set of softer tires and wheels from my ECX Temper 1/18 scale rock racer and they are a perfect fit. As well, they're light, so the buggy seems to handle them really well.* Next move was to add axle extensions. 20mm all around to help stabilize this thing in the turns.* Late night installation of ALL the metal hop-ups that you can do to this thing. It is now race ready and it looks way better all around, more capable.*** WARNING***THIS THING DOES NOT LIKE WATER > AT ALL! <I ran it outside a few minutes and made the mistake of driving through a couple of small puddles. It stopped working and the roof lights began to flicker very quickly, so I knew I had gotten the electronics wet. In a panic, I pulled it apart and began to blow out all the water from the ESC/Radio unit. I thought for sure I had ruined it within 5 minutes of my first run. About a half hour of sitting in front of a fan, I tested the power to see what was happening and it booted right up, ready to run!Once it was back up and running, I went back outside and accidentally ran it through a puddle again, it stopped running shortly after ... AGAIN!I figured I had really messed up at this point, but did the same treatment (dry it off and place the car in front of a fan to dry) and within about a half hour, it was functional again. STAY AWAY FROM WATER WITH THIS THING!Battery Life:The battery life is pretty darn good. A fully charged stock battery let me run for at least a half hour on the first charge and it's still not dead yet. I haven't really had a chance to run it for an extended period of time due to the electronics getting wet, so it's hard to say what the straight line distance to a dead battery actually is.Summary:Well, it's looking like I went with writing a novel about this car. It's worth it if you're in to a little bit of speed and want to bash around a little. It goes like a champ on mowed grass and turns every little bump in to a jump at the speeds it can reach. Widening the wheel base with axle extensions will certainly help keep it 'rubber side down' in the turns, although, it has no problems rolling right over if you turn too tight at high speeds, it's physics! But, yes, I amazed at how good this thing is stock. If you want to get in to modding up a good platform for cheap, look no further.

Fun little RC
Cool RC, kinda toy grade, but almost hobby grade. It's tough, quick, and replacement parts are out there.Definitely a good first (or second) RC.

Really fun RC Truck
This is my 2nd RC truck after a long period out of the hobby. It is really well made and exceeded my expectations in every way! It is faster than I expected, although I wanted a "rock crawler" type of truck, this one can really move. I am simply having a blast, running on gravel, street and dirt. I don't think you can go wrong with one of these. The only upgrade will be to buy a longer or higher mah battery. The one that comes with it is fine and I get 30-40 minutes from it easily. Sometimes, I simply want it run it an hour. That is a very low cost upgrade. I also noted there are many add-on parts, so a person could upgrade this vehicle if you wanted to. Best bang for the buck I have found! Buy one!

Buyer bewere
Buyer beware, don't make the mistake I made. I fell for the hype, however ultimately was very dissatisfied with this product. I purchased this product exactly one year ago for my son for Christmas, it lasted 3 days. My son at the time was 13, and was actually very gentle with it. However the battery started having issues probably within 24 hours, then all of a sudden part starter falling off. Hey if you want to buy it, taking a chance, that's on you. I'm just giving my two cents, I wouldn't purchase one of these for an enemy.

Good starter for “bashing”
It’s a great option for beginners as well as rc enthusiasts. Fully customizable with aftermarket parts, but it is ready to run out of the box. I’ve had it for abt a month now and have upgraded several parts on it, but it’s been study and haven’t broken anything on it. It’s does tend to run a little on the hotter side with bigger tires, so beware of that. Stock condition, it runs great and +-15 mins of run time with stock battery.

Wheel fell off while driving
This R/c car is very fun, and has a lot of torque and speed for an R/C car in this price range. However, there were some issues when I first used it. I got around 3 hours total worth of play time out of it, over the span of the 9 days I've had it.First thing to note, it has powered off randomly 3 times. All three were at near a stop or fully stopped. No reason either, just randomly.Second, it rolls sometimes. It has a lot of power, and if you don't know how to use that power, it can roll. Even though it has a very nifty and absorbent suspension, it can still roll. This only happened when I was turning at full speed with throttle.Third, adjusting the wheel angle was kind of hard to do with the electronic knob. It never seemed to get in a straight position, and when it did, a few curb hits pulled it out of line just a tad.Last, the wheel fell off, and caused the car to crash. When it did, it broke the control arm. I tried to replace it with the spare lug from the spare tire on the rear, and it turned out it was the control arm itself.Edit: I received the replacement car quite some time ago. I took it out for some driving, I was a lot more active with this R/C than my previous one. It ran well for quite some time, but it didn't last. The new one I received has an issue where the front wheels spin much faster than the rear, so much so it causes the front wheels to wobble. Originally, all the wheels would accelerate the same, causing one of the wheels to lift up from all the torque. It doesn't do that anymore even with a fully charged battery. This car is really great, but keep it on a flat surface unless you're rock crawling or on a slightly bumpy dirt/gravel surface. I'll be returning mine for a full refund. I might buy this again one day, but I just want something more reliable out of the box.
