Perfect for Travel
The J.L. Childress Gate Check Bag for Single Umbrella Strollers has been a lifesaver for our family travel! As a toddler mom, keeping our stroller safe and clean during flights is a top priority, and this bag does an excellent job. The bright red color makes it easy to spot at the gate, and it fits our umbrella stroller perfectly. The bag is durable and well-made, providing ample protection against scuffs and dirt. I love that it’s lightweight and folds up compactly for easy storage in the storage bag that it rolls up into, when we’re not using it. Plus, the drawstring closure is secure, ensuring the stroller stays safely tucked inside. Final Thoughts: If you travel frequently with a toddler and need a reliable stroller bag, I highly recommend the J.L. Childress Gate Check Bag! It’s practical, easy to use, and gives me peace of mind knowing our stroller is well protected during air travel!

Durable stroller cover
Worked well for traveling. Only comment is I wish the pocket/pouch to fold it into was a little larger and a clear pocket to put a name tag in just in case the airline tag got ripped off. Worked great for out flights.

Works for gate-checking
This bag works to keep your stroller clean & probably less banged up than without it but don't expect it to stand up to super rough handling. It is a lightweight bag, not a heavy duty bag but this is reflected in the price. There was plenty of room for my umbrella stroller to fit w/the easy adjuster to tighten the cord. I did take the advice of a reviewer of this one or the car seat bag & used duct tape on the seams prior to the flights. I purchased both the umbrella stroller bag & the car seat bags & both held up well--no rips or tears & no damages or dirt added to baby equipment. Even hubby thought this was a good idea AFTER he saw another dad pick up their gate-checked stroller (without a bag) have a bunch of stuff fall out of the stroller since they hadn't emptied the basket before gate-checking. This bag did what I expected, kept my stroller clean!

For this price, the best gate check bag I could find
I had to write this review after I saw that the last couple of reviews had been pretty bad for this product given that I believe the contrary. First some context: I am a father of two and owner of 3 strollers and 3 car seats. I travel with my wife and daughters between 3-4 times a year. I have purchase other bags for the purpose of covering my strollers and car seats in the past but have now settled with this "gate check" bag. As parents know, traveling with small children requires patience and a lot of stuff. Having something that protects your stuff is key if you want to use it more than once. For that reason I have purchased a bag for each of my strollers and car seat that I used when traveling on a plane. It is cleared to me that if you don't use a bag your stuff will get damage or dirty easily. If you have an expensive stroller or car seat and want to keep it intact you probably need to buy the brand's hard bag. No need to lie here. This bag is great for its intended purpose but it is still made from normal threads so if you want bullet-proof material, don't think that this one will stand to your expectations. This bag is great to keep your normal stroller clean and it would protect it from its normal wear and tear. It won't protect it from a clumsy or awful bag taker. The only way you are going to be saved from those people is having a hard bag but that it is impossible when you are gate checking. In others words this is as good as you get for gate checking bags. In terms of fitting well, check the right size for your stroller and car seat. There is a bag for each purpose. I have purchased the umbrella stroller size and it fit perfectly for my Uppa Baby stroller. I have another umbrella stroller that I just purchased for my youngest and it also fit that one pretty well. Sorry cant remember that brand of stroller right now but it is something like "first something". For my car seats I have a three Graccos. One is a infant car seat and the other two are toddlers car seat. In the three occasions I purchased the "car seat" sized bag and it worked perfectly. I have to say that I have had bad flights were they teared my bag but those are more the exemption to the rule. In general what happens normally in a flight is that the bag will get really dirty. Just washed afterwardsw and that is it. In terms of how easy is to storage it I will have to say that it doesn't required for you to be a scientist to get the entire bag back into the small self-contained bag. What I do is that I keep it in the stroller all the time after folding it back. That way I don't search for the bag when I am traveling. In terms of putting strollers or car seats in the bag when at the gate. My rutile is pretty simple. I normally go first and leave my wife and daughters at the door of the plane. I leave the bags in our seats and go back to the door. Then I fold and bagged strollers and enter the plane with my wife. Putting the strollers in their respective bags is relatively easy. If you purchased the right size it should be that problematic. It take me a few seconds as I already got all the tricks. I hope this review helped you.

Perfect for The First Years Jet Stroller - Made it to Europe and Back - Super Helpful
I purchased this bag after my wife had expressed some concerns about our stroller getting damaged on our flights when gate checking the stroller. It was a a great investment for multiple reasons. ***As others have noted, the seams may break on this bag if handled roughly by baggage handlers. To avoid this, I turned the bag inside out and put duct tape on all of the interior seams (gorilla tape would work as well). This added tremendous strength to the bag*** 1) This bag protected our First Years Jet Stroller to Europe and Back. The bag got dirtied and covered in snow on the tarmac but the stroller kept clean. 2) When gate checking the stroller, we also put our rain cover and a winter jacket (or two) in this gate check bag. This was super helpful and made getting on/off flights much easier. 3) Having the bright red bag made it easy to spot and figure out where to go to pick up the stroller as we could watch the handlers through the windows. It is often hard to tell where to go to pick up a stroller in major European airports and this bag made that much easier. 4) Having the bright red bag made it easy to say "look for the bright red bag" when baggage handlers were struggling to find our stroller in the cargo hold. I will be purchasing another two bags today: one for our car seat and one for our larger stroller that we will take for domestic travel. I would give this bag six stars if I could.

Good Quality!
Unfortunately I had to return this due to not ending up needing it anymore but it was very good quality for the price and the packaging came completely together. If we were still needing to use this I would have 100% kept this!

Worked great for a Combi Stroller
This bag was significantly larger than I expected it to be. We used it on three flights for a Combi stroller which is a bit larger than most umbrella strollers. From the looks of it, I'm sure this bag would cover our full size Chicco Cortina stroller although I haven't tried it yet. I took another reviewer's advice and reinforced the seams with duct tape so I'm not sure how much that had to do with it but the bag held up great! Only one small tear after the second flight which was no where near any seams. I packed the roll of duct tape so we were able to patch up the hole before the return flight home. The bag was definitely dirty and I was glad that none of that grease and dirt ended up on the stroller. The bright red bag was also a plus for spotting our stroller in the pile gate checked strollers, car seats, luggage and wheelchairs waiting at the gate.

Must have for gate check!
This cover was so easy to put over our stroller and worked easier for the people carrying it to put under the plane, with the durable handle. We could easily get the tag for the bag at the desk and it didn’t need to be on my stroller, so less obvious we were traveling, if you forgot to remove it in the airport. This bag comes with its own pouch and it is so easy to fold it back up and put it back in the tiny pouch. I just kept it folded up and tucked into a side pocket of my backpack. The red color makes it so easy to locate in your other items and when it gets taken off the plane. I would highly recommend this if you’d like to have your stroller stay cleaner and be less likely to get damaged during the traveling chaos.
