Haven't slept this well in years
My sleeping habits were terrible. I'd either wake up in the middle of the night and be awake for hours before falling back to sleep, or sleep until 3:30-4a and not get back to sleep. On one of those nights I put the TV on. There was an infomercial for weighted blankets; it stated it helps you sleep. I researched them later that day and then asked if friends and family used them; did they think the blankets help. With the number of positive reviews I received, I decided to buy one. I searched on Amazon based on the comments I received. Some said they like it but they are too hot. I found this one; reversible cover for temperature preference, removeable cover for cleaning (a must for me). Since using it, some nights I sleep straight through, which never happened before. Other nights I still wake up around 3-4a, but I fall right back to sleep. I sleep to my alarm and on weekends when no alarm is set, I sleep a little longer. There was no getting used to it, I started sleeping better from night one! It doesn't feel overly heavy, it actually feels comforting. It keeps me warm but isn't too hot. I live in an area of the country that has winter temps; I put the silky side down, fleece side up and I am warm; no other blanket or comforter is used while sleeping, just a sheet under the blanket. The only downside is tying the cover to the blanket after washing. It isn't a terrible process, just a little time consuming. I'm sure that will improve the more I do it. Several friends bought one after I told them how well I sleep now; theirs have not arrived yet or I would include their thoughts. I think it should called a magic blanket!!!!!

Convinced me
I heard and read a lot of hype about these weighted blankets...I just had to try it for myself. Well now, I'm convinced this is a worthwhile product. A bit pricey, but I took a chance and it turned out well. The first week i used it, I slept exceptionally good. I doubt it was the "placebo" effect because I simply did toss and turn the first night. Typically, I do this quite a bit before settling in, and drifting off. immediately, it caused me to more easily fall asleep. Maybe there is something to the "swadiling" theory, but it worked. Also, a lot of the reviewers complained about the temperature, but i noticed no issues. On the colder winter nights, it was adequate on its own as the only blanket. A few spring nights were pretty warm, and it was equally comfortable and cool. Possibly the only thing that took some adjustment was the filling as it can shift around, but that's to be expected from the physical design. I do recommend you follow the suggestion for 10% of your body weight. That seems like its the correct proportion. I got the 15Lb size, and it worked for me since I'm a little over 150 lbs. Also, I would get the size just big enough to cover your body....measure the area on your bed if you have to. Too much extra weight and material might make it hard to comfortably move in and out, but its just a suggestion. For me, my money was well spent.

Perfect, Just as advertised
My wife LOVES this. She continues to praise the blanket and thank me for the gift. The weight might be slightly heavy for her (I did buy the heaviest one.) since she often comments on it and sometimes asks me to move if for her.I purchased the heaviest weight wondering if it would be enough. I enjoy this blanket also--I sleep well under it. I might prefer one slightly heavier. (Being a strong male moving the blanket around is not a problem for me.)The dual cool/warm sides are nice to have. The beads inside stay in their designated area of the blanket. They don't migrate like the filling in some comforters (particularly after a washing).Note that this is an individual sized blanket which is 20lbs. A double, queen or king at the same weight will feel lighter.

Good weighted blanket with one complaint
Overall I really like this blanket. The weights nice and the beads don't shift around too much so it's really helped me sleep. Plus the cover is very soft and easy to wash. My only complaint is that the blanket smells very funky which I could fix by washing the cover but the weighted blanket itself I can't do much about. As long as I keep it away from my face the smell doesn't bother me though.

Great for restless leg
I bought this originally as a Christmas present for my son. He was having a really bad night with his restless leg syndrome, so I gave it to him and he was beyond excited. The weight is perfect (15 pounds) and he has slept comfortably through the night since. He has some minor issues but nothing like he was having. It does come with a cover. Fuzzy (warming) on one side and smooth (cooling) on the other. The beads are evenly distributed and hasn't piled up in a lump anywhere. I will admit, having a cover for it was a big selling point with me. ( After price and reviews)

Who knew twenty-five pounds weighed twenty-five pounds!
I knew it would be heavy going it. I haven't been able to use it much due to it being so MISERABLY HOT, but the few times I have I slept harder than Rip Van Winkle and Sleeping Beauty in a sleeping contest. I literally woke up wondering where the heck I was, it was that good. However, despite it being the 'right' weight for my size, I probably should have gone with the fifteen pound blanket. Twenty-five pounds is, apparently, a bit heavy. It's fine when I'm laying still but if I shift or roll over it's an exercise in not throwing something out. (I mean a muscle or something, not the blanket.)That's on me, though, and I should have taken that into account.

Decent buy but small
The blanket is nice and soft but my complaint is it's too small. It covers the bed but there is NO hangover. The blanket literally ends at the edge of the bed... Not even a half inch hang, size up!

High quality weighted blanket
Very soft & heavy, comfortable. From personal experience it helps prevent tossing & and turning.I have noted that the inner weighted pouch can be untied from the inner sleeve and be removed like a pillowcase so you can wash the sleeve. just do not put the weighted pouch in the washer that has to be spot washed I also wouldn't run the sleeve in the washer on hot may shrink the material. I would also have the washer on Delicate cycle. Air dry
