Camelot 3000 Deluxe Edition Hardcover – December 16, 2008

Enjoy the story from Barr with some recurring themes from the original legend of King Arthur but with some twist and turns. Bolland’s art is beautiful as always. Overall i always want to read this back in the day and now that I’ve read it wish I read way earlier.

Somehow, back in the early eighties, my little brother and I got a copy of this graphic novel. We fought constantly over who was going to get to read it again next. Finally, our parents couldn't take it anymore and the book was confiscated. Never to be seen again. Now, over thirty years later, I have ordered two copies from Amazon. One for him and one for me. Problem solved. Lol. The story and art work is still as amazing as I remember. I highly recommend this to any comic book fan. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because I don't like the feel of the new slick shiny paper they used. Kinda loses it's nostalgic newspaper feel. But other than that I am excited to add it to my library.

The entirety of the original maxiseries consolidated into a Kindle graphic novel. It’s worth reading if you love cutting edge comics of the era.

I always wanted the series this book is from, when I was a kid, now I have it. I wish they had used better paper and recolored it, but, all in all it's a fantastic read and the art is phenomenal (it's Brian Bolland, after all) It was truly innovative for the time and it still holds up very well. I highly, highly, recommend this book.

I think this is an interesting twist on the many versions of Arthur and his knights. I read this for my King Arthur class in college and it was a refreshing way to see how the story was presented. There are also many themes throughout the book and has multiple stories within it. It's a great example of how multiple forms of literature and media can present stories.

Got both editions of this classic story the deluxe edition reprint and the smaller standard edition both- since one is a bit larger than the other and I wanted to see if it made any difference in the reproduction of the art - if there was added detail and thus more enjoyment of the book overall. Interesting mash up story of sci fi and medieval story telling but the line work in the art didn't necessarily benefit from the somewhat enlarged format of the 'deluxe' edition I found.

I have for years been looking for a copy for my wife to replace a stolen one. I was delighted to not only have stumble across the Deluxe Edition on Amazon but to find it in hard copy and in pristine condition was just wonderful. I am very happy with my order.

I first read this comic in my high school library, picked it up at a great deal for the memories and it's still an interesting read as an adult. A fun futuristic take on arthurian legend!
