It is “sodium” phosphate free. Sodium sulfates are the harsh ones. SLS and sodium Laureth sulphate. Sodium laureth is the gentler on the two. In any case, they are not in this product.

Why is the "origin of country", china???

Because it is an American formula, manufactured in China, for a US corporation, like over 90% of everything we consume these days. Not the best solution for the future of our industry, but greed conquers all... 2

My bottle indicates that it is manufactured by Hain Celestial but there is no indication that country of origin is China on the bottle. Perhaps you should be asking Haim Celestial or Amazon about this?
