CPS0005 Engine Camshaft Position Sensor

This camshaft worked perfectly for my engine rebuild. The fit was exact, and installation went smoothly with no modifications needed. Great fitment. So this is next to the firewall under the hood shelf (windshield bottom) so its a feel your way thru removing the bolt and unclipping it. You will need a very short handle ratchet because there isnt much clearance. The same with installing the new part. Its not difficult skill wise and the passenger side was a bit harder to reach than the drivers side. Its been 4 months since I replaced them both and have had no issues.

This item keeps the engine in synch. Its part of a dual installation. Wish they sold them as a pair, left-right. Remember to listen for the install “snap” and use “o ring” lube. 20% cheaper than original but Hitachi brand is also highly rated.

I purchased this Hitachi crankshaft position sensor based on the listing saying it fits a 2005 Nissan Murano. It does not. After proper installation, the engine started once and ran fine, but wouldn’t start again after shutting off—a classic symptom of a bad or incompatible sensor. I had this item shipped internationally via courier, paid extra for transportation, and then had to pay for both installation and removal, only to find out that the part doesn’t work. Reinstalling my old OEM sensor fixed the issue instantly. This was a huge waste of time and money. Amazon should correct this listing. Do not buy this if you own a 2005-2007 Nissan Murano.

You can find these sensors from different manufacturers and prices are from cheap to expensive. I bought this sensor because it has good reviews and price is reasonable. Part is very well made it’s been working great after I installed the part.

Easy to install, worked great no issues.

OEM part so it works as expected. Four stars because they seem to die every couple years which is annoying.

the original brand for nissan camshaft sensor 10 to 15 years not after market 2 years i recommend this brand

Driver side Camshaft position sensor (2003 Infiniti G35) This is the original OEM unit. Spend the extra and don't go with cheap no name sensors.

Said it was compatible for my 2007 Titan, installed it and it didn’t work, truck ran even worse than before
