Great Edition to the PSPgo
I must first disclose that I love docks. I bought a 3rd party one for my PSP-1000 and I have one for my Cybershot and for my iPhone etc. It just makes it nice to set your system on something, not just a cable to dingle around. First thing to then keep in mind is that this is just the dock. No cables come with it. You have to use the ones with your system. So what can this puppy do? Simple thing is to just have an area to charge your PSPgo on. Set it down and walla, it charges. But, if you want a little more, you can then directly hookup the PSP USB cable to it as well so when you set it down, not only does it charge but can auto sync with the Sony Media Manager software. So now on the dock, I can charge and sync new content over to my system. Also, if you purchase the proper cable, the dock acts as a video out so you can then set your system up on the dock and plug it to your receiver or TV. Sleek and functional is all I have to say. Only con I would have to say is that it uses up the USB and power cable that you own so when you wanna go, you either have to take your cables apart or purchase a second pair which is what I did.

Versatile and Useful
The cradle allows you to charge your PSP while playing games on your TV, and for that reason alone, I feel it is worth it. The PSPgo has a universal port that allows only one cable to be needed for power and USB connecting. You can either use the cable that shipped with the system and connect it to the AC Adapter for power while you play, or you can use it to connect the PSPgo to a computer and transfer files and/or charge while the PSPgo is in USB Mode. The fact that it can only charge via a USB cable while in USB mode (even though it is connected via the same port it normally receives power to) is frustrating, but it is understandable from a technical standpoint (pins on the port normally allocated for power and the voltage coming from whatever it's connected to, switching those pins to receive slight power while in USB Mode etc). That is why charging via USB Mode takes about twice as long as with an AC Adapter. I personally dislike switching around wires, and I am a huge fan of docks because it allows a spot for the owner of a device to just sit their devices into and forget about it. Someone who uses AC Adapters may think this is trivial, but I can assure most of you reading this, if you can afford to get a dock, you will not regret it. The best part about this dock is the 5V adapter for DC Power (the same plug the older PSP models use). The PSPgo can in fact do video out for gaming and media to a TV via component cables. Also, the PSPgo can be synced and controlled with a PS3 controller via Bluetooth (a PS3 and USB cables for the PSPgo and PS3 Controller are needed, in addition to at least 2 empty USB ports on the PS3). The PSPgo has a smaller screen than previous PSPs, and I am not a huge fan of the control-setup. This functionality is awesome, and made for a very comfortable gaming experience. Connecting it to the TV is as easy as plugging in the cable and holding down the Display button at the top of the system (if that doesn't work, just navigate over to Display Settings on the XMB). The only problem with that is because of the nature of the Universal Port, while gaming without the dock, your battery will be drained. I feel that this aspect highly limits the functionality of this system for that purpose. One of my complains is that my PSP is a bit wobbly in the dock, but I'm not doing a rain dance around my desk, nor do I live in an area prone to earthquakes, so it's just fine. I mainly use the dock for my PC (totally not the reason I got it for!), but I would definitely spend another $20 to keep one by my TV full-time. It's cheaper on Amazon than it is at Gamestop.

Does what any good cradle should
This small piece of hardware is awesome. Docks the PSP go in an upright position (great for charging, syncing, video-out, or charging while outputting video). It's rather heavy and definitely won't go tip over without a lot of persuasion, and has rubber feet to keep it from sliding away. It looks snazzy sitting on my desk. My only beef with it is that in order to charge while outputting video (and you'll want to, especially if you decide to play with a PS3 controller), you have to buy the original PSP's charger. I hadn't foreseen that.

Normally Sony products are expensive but impeccable. This is expensive and nearly worthless.
I brought it upon myself because I knew what I was getting with this when I bought it but the prospect of having a neat place to hold my PSP Go was awesome. That being said, here are the pros/cons: Pros: + Looks beautiful on my desk + More convenient for me to connect to my laptop since I can just leave the cable in the dock + The only way to play the PSP Go on a TV and charge it at the same time Cons: - No AC adapter (gotta buy it yourself, assumes you are going to use your original cable, which doesn't really make sense because then why would you buy the dock?) - No audio out (gotta use a TV-out, then convert back to speaker cable. Audio quality loss + pain in the ass) - No remote control (would have been worthless without an audio out anyways. What I would have wanted was to hook up my speakers to this thing and keep a remote control by my bed when I read so I can use the low power PSP Go to play music instead of my energy-sucking laptop, but that's a no go (pun intended)) - Not as neat a dock design as I would like (the dock just has the port sticking out and a plastic thing that goes in your headphone jack. After using it for a while, I discovered that the port is scratching the plastic around my slot because I don't slide it on there with 100% accuracy. I wouldn't have minded if the dock was bigger such that the plastic would fit around the PSP and guide the port to the slot instead of me now having to carefully line it up each time) The lack of audio out and remote control was the biggest let down for me. I have a third party Bluetooth remote but using that forces the audio to go out of the remote's jack, which is not what I want at all. If it's any consolation, the PSP clock looks particularly beautiful docked on my desk.

It enables for another home console type of a system if lucky.
The cradle's good for what it does, even if the PSPgo's a little loose & shaky on the device itself. Unfortunately for me, my TV screen's image was distorted whenever I used the set of component cables needed to display the PSP screen via the cradle's AV slot. I know it was due to getting a "bad" cradle because when I hooked up the same component cable to my HDPVR2 Gaming Edition capture device, the same problems echoed when plugged into the cradle. When hooked up directly from my PSPgo to either the TV or capture card, the image was just fine. I have to give it a 4 due this tiny problem, but by no means does that entail the product itself is bad in any way. If you're lucky and the feed turns out well for you, congrats. If not, better luck next time.

Bad design or incomplete set
Be aware of this cradle needs an external AC adapter if you have it plugged to the TV, the AV cable doesnt have USB port or AC port. So if you have a previous PSP you need this AC charger if not you have to buy a new one plus the AV cable.

Best PSPgo companion
PSPgo + cradle + PS3 controller = the only reason to have a PSPgo. I love the ability to play movies without having to hook my laptop or PS3 up to the TV. Although some games aren't the best looking and the border around the games might annoy some, it is what it is a way to play portable games without the sometimes awkward positioning of the console. Lean back and enjoy!

I wish there were negative stars
I've been nickel-and-dimed before, but this is ridiculous. I have supported Sony electronics as long as I can remember. I have always believed in the quality and value of their products. However, selling this item for nearly thirty dollars with no DC charger is obscene. You would think it was made of gold-plated titanium and not cheap plastic. I purchased this item to simultaneously charge the PSP-go and view it on a television with the separate AV cable that was another twenty dollars. I'm sure it works, but I'm so annoyed it will likely stay on the floor in a closet or get returned soon. To be clear, this item includes the PSP-go Charge Station, and absolutely nothing else. The AV cables are separate, and more importantly, the unit does not have a charger. So out of the box, the proprietary Sony PSP-go charger is fighting for space with the AV cable, leaving you four options: 1. Use the station only as a charging station, rendering it pointless. 2. Use the one proprietary slot to view the PSP-go on a TV, draining the battery incredibly fast if you're using a PS3 controller and its Bluetooth functionality. 3. Swallow another insult from an enormous corporation making a bottom-line decision on a cheap but important accessory. 4. Return it and write a review that will probably be read by a majority of confused parents buying this item for their kids, or fanboy 10-year olds that think this is a review from a jealous Nintendo fan. I would compare it to buying a new mp3 player that doesn't include headphones. Sure, they're typically cheap headphones you throw away anyway, but it's the thought that counts. There is a very fine line in dealing with consumers between maximizing margins and screwing people over. This product crosses it and I can't endorse it.
