DON'T BUY/RENT THIS IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR AN ACCESS CODE. This rental does NOT come with one despite the actual TITLE of this product saying "PLUS MASTERING A&P WITH eTEXT -- ACCESS CARD PACKAGE" TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY. I could have gotten a cheaper book but I rented this one because it said it came with the access card package. That was a blatant LIE. Just be aware of that before you purchase/rent.

This book is PERFECT! My class has the 8th edition listed, but as we ALLL know, these text book companies make like 4 changes and charge an arm and a leg. As a single mother back in school, I can't afford that and financial aid isn't an option because I already graduated. Anyways, the content in this international version is very easily understood and the layout is visually stimulating. The seller was efficient and fast in sending me the book. It came in plastic wrap with NO damage. I am so happy to have this book.

I ordered because it said it had an access code. Did not come with an access code. completely useless. All my homework comes from the website.

I purchased this book here on amazon in order to complete my physiology class. However, upon receiving my book, I discovered that there was no access card inside. Aside from this, the book was great... however I just could not justify the purchase again without a guaranteed access card, as I paid extra for this copy since it was advertised that it came with it included.

This book is absolutely the best "owner's manual" for the human body I've found. It's full of information presented in a clear format with plenty of color charts, diagrams and illustrations. There are excellent short reviews on things like using graphs, or biochemistry. The combined glossary and index gives you a quick definition, but if you need more depth the places to find it are right there, it's so simple and logical it's pure genius. I don't care what you do, if you know what's in this book your life will be better! Last, but not least, when I saw the author quoted Madame Blavatsky at the start of the second chapter, I knew this was someone that truly has more than simple knowledge, she has understanding!

Just received my item and it is bent in on multiple corners. One of the seams is ripped. The cover is dirty, dusty, and bent. The book seems used. Some of the pages have ink blotched on them. This is ridiculous. I paid for a new book! As a college student I chose to spend extra money to get this book brand new. I should get a new book. Not something that looks like it was run over and kicked around in its box. The box was also damaged as well that it came in. I’m not happy!

I found this textbook easy to read and very interesting! I actually didn't fall asleep reading the text! The photos, tables, diagrams, and figures were very clear and explained very well (there were only a few that I wish had a more detailed explanation). It's usually so hard for me to get through a science textbook. Maybe it's because physiology is such an interesting topic or maybe it's because the writers really considered how to make things easier for students to understand or maybe it's because I haven't read other physiology textbooks. Whatever the case, I wouldn't have been able to pass my physiology class with a decent grade without it. The level 1,2, and 3 questions were also really helpful and I appreciate that all the answers were actually put in the back (my past math textbooks only gave answers to odd numbered questions).

Taking pathophysiology in pharmacy school, this was a wonderful book. It was so detailed, and supplemented the lectures with material. For me, reading helps me understand the material and put the big picture together. It explains in more detail certain aspects the professors went over in class that help me learn. The pictures are in color. The book I got was a paperback, but I did not mind that. Really, this is a great human physiology book that I would recommend any student to consider as a supplemental book or for a professor to consider as a required reading book. It definitely helped me study.

I do Physiology and it really helps clarify things and explain in clear English. It also has sections to help you understand the clinical importance, and in addition has sections to help you apply your knowledge or be intrigued to find out more.

Tried to read this book for USMLE and found that the info was too sketchy and did not co relate with the exam. I think the best medical physiology book out there is Boron followed by Guyton for the said purpose. Do not waste your money on this book.

Excellent book written in an easy-to-understand style whilst still containing a lot of detailed information.Really helped to put lectures into context and has made me feel confident about a module I was nervous about.

This is the textbook recommended by my Medical School, though reading it, I find it extremely long winded and boring. The information is all there, but it is not written in the most engaging manner and I dread having to read it even though I enjoy physiology, which is a shame. Can really recommend "Physiology" by Linda Costanzo - faaaaabulous alternative book
