Interesting Journal, Even if You’re a Teenager!
I bought this funschooling journal for my 14 year old because she has always been especially interested in “endangered, extinct, and legendary” animals. These days she doesn’t usually get very excited about anything school related, but she was thrilled to learn that this book is for her! There is a combination of familiar and unfamiliar animals in this journal, so she will be able to study some favorites while also learning about new creatures. I love that there are facts about each animal along with a drawing. We decided that she will focus on one animal a week. She wanted to know what subject it counts as and I told her that it easily includes language arts, science, history, geography, and art. This journal will be a great, fun supplement to her 9th grade curriculum!

A truly magical book
These books are amazing! My 5th grader didn’t like to write before but now she can’t wait to work in this. She gets to look up all sorts of information about obscure animals and either draw, color, or write about them! Plus if you follow the author’s Facebook and her instagram’s page she will occasionally give away a free pdf of a new book or if sneak peeks into a new idea or book she is working on!

A really fun journal
This journal focuses on interesting species, and my son was captivated by the cryptid or mythological beasts. It inspired a deep dive into the Loch Ness Monster that he thoroughly enjoyed. If your kids like unusual or mysterious animals, this is the journal for you! It is not a core journal, that covers multiple subjects, but a focused collection of mini-studies of various animals. Your child will do their own research to complete the information pages for each animal.

So far, so good!
Trying something new with my 7th grade ADHD, Aspie homeschooler. So far, this has done the trick for keeping her attention and giving her a feeling of being in control of her learning. Well worth the price.

Great for the animal lover!
My son is obsessed with animals so this journal is perfect for him. He actually asks to do schoolwork now-he has learned some great information and the book is really cute! I love the fact that is covers extinct animals as well as endangered and legendary.

Fun Journal-style workbook
I was given this journal as a gift from the company, but all opinions are my own.My daughter requested this journal as soon as it was released and it did NOT disappoint! There are multiple pages related to each animal that include facts, maps, tracing the animal, questions to be answered, and room for creative responses! These journals help to keep learning interactive, creative, and fun.

Not worth the price
The paper quality is flimsy newsprint.Book has heavy amounts of drawing and coloring. The poor paper quality allows the use of only crayons. That unxludes writing portions. I'll get a few ideas and then toss this worthless 'workbook'.

Intriguing and Keeps You Coming Back
My son is a freshman in high school and is currently using this journal. He has said several times how much he has enjoyed what he is learning and that he is retaining more than he ever has prior using other materials. He doesn't get excited too much about anything school related, so this has been great. The journals allow for students to explore each subject in a deeper way and in the platform that works well for their learning style. We have coupled this with zoology documentaries and the resources, "Extinct Animals" by Ross Piper (https://www.amazon.com/Extinct-Animals-Encyclopedia-Species-Disappeared/dp/0313349878/ref=sr_1_1?crid=O6CR3AO29X9T&keywords=extinct+animals+by+ross+piper&qid=1662562816&sprefix=extinct+animals+by+ross+piper%2Caps%2C118&sr=8-1) and the Zoology coloring book (https://www.amazon.com/Zoology-Coloring-Book-Lawrence-Elson/dp/0064603016/ref=sr_1_3?crid=1PUO8J4U8KV7Q&keywords=zoology+coloring+book&qid=1662562872&sprefix=zoolo%2Caps%2C124&sr=8-3).*This is the first year my son has wanted to do school and he enjoys learning again! My son is not artistically driven, so for the drawing activities he typically prints out photos to place in the journal.

I think this is my favourite yet!
We love fun schooling journals, but this one really is my favourite yet. Full of animals we haven't heard of and had to go investigate. My youngest loves finding out the facts to assist his big brother in compiling the information. Thoroughly recommend!
