I bought these because the Rubbermaid I had recently bought were hard to open when cutting food, so were painful for me to use. These KitchenAid shears are lighter weight, better balanced, and easier to open and close. I tried Muzziz brand as well to compare, because they can be taken apart for cleaning. KitchenAid are by far the best. My arthritic hands are comfortable using them, with almost no strength needed to open and close. They are sharp and also have a slightly serrated edge, so they cut easily. I love the plastic cover to store them in, and especially love that they are dishwasher safe! If you have arthritis or other wrist or hand problems, these are the right choice for you. So easy to use! My mom has had these for many years, and hers are still in good shape.

I picked these up not expecting much beyond basic use, but they've quickly become one of my most-used kitchen tools. Right out of the box, the blades are sharp as hell — no need to break them in or sharpen them before use, they cut cleanly from day one. I've mainly used them for cutting pizza, and they slice through crust and toppings way more cleanly than a pizza cutter or knife ever did for me. Beyond that, they've handled general food prep really well too — trimming herbs, cutting through packaging, breaking down chicken, even snipping through kitchen twine. It's nice having one tool that can handle so many different jobs instead of reaching for a knife every time. The grip is comfortable too, which makes a difference when you're using them for a while — no hand fatigue, and they feel sturdy without being bulky or awkward to hold. Build quality feels solid overall, like something that's going to last rather than wear out or loosen up after a few uses. Overall, I'm really happy with this purchase. It's the kind of tool that seems simple on the surface but ends up getting used constantly once it's in your kitchen. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to upgrade from a basic pair of scissors or a cheap pair of kitchen shears.

This is the second time that I've purchased these scissors...they are THAT good. Initially, I'd bought these on a whim; they were so cheap (around 7 or 8 dollars) that I honestly didn't expect much. We always keep a large pair of scissors in our kitchen in order to cut open packages. Once those original scissors wore out my husband replaced them with a pair of tiny, child-sized scissors. (In actuality they were simply a left-over, extra pair from a two-pack left over from one of our children's safety scissors purchased for her years ago school.) As such, they were tiny and not very sharp. Being made for small hands made it difficult for us both to use. Frustrated, I happened to notice a pair of scissors on my recommended list one day. Since they were so cheap, I bought them without much research; nothing more than a quick cursory glance at the reviews...something which generally isn't like me. Neither myself nor my husband was initially impressed before trying these out. My husband was aghast at how large the finger holes were, (and frankly so was I.) We both assumed it would make handling them unstable and tricky to grip. Instead, these are literally THE most comfortable scissors we've EVER used. Yes, SERIOUSLY! And SHARP. They will cut through ANYTHING...even those difficult, hard to open clamshell packages that can slice open a person's hands if they aren't careful. And they even retain their sharpness! My husband likes to tinker with things and has been using them on any and EVERYTHING yet they are STILL SHARP. He kept moving them from the kitchen and forgetting to put them so we decided to just buy another pair; he bought one to keep in his workshop and I bought an extra as a spare for the future, so now we have 3 of these scissors in our household. If you're on the fence about these, please, PLEASE just get them! It's genuinely shocking to me how cheap they are considering the quality. Even the more expensive hair scissors I've used don't compare to these! Would 10 out of 10 purchase again!!

These are great for the kitchen. I have cut through (easily) wrapping of fresh meat (Chicken, Ground Beef) and also used for other things in the kitchen as well. Washed in the dishwasher at least 10 times already, no problem. High quality, and highly recommended.

Sharp, longer shears than what I’m accustomed too, but nice, a quality item. Use caution when using because they are longer and very sharp. Easy to accidentally snip one’s finger by mistake. They fit perfectly on my counter in my wooden display with my other assorted kitchen knives.

These are amazing. I use them for everything in the kitchen. They are great for cutting the crust off of bread and so much more. Had them for months now and use them often and they're still sharp. They've held up just fine. They are easy to clean and I normally dry them after cleaning or open them up and allow them to air dry standing up in the drying rack. They look just like the picture. I used to put the cover on after every use but I don't anymore.

Let’s start by saying these KitchenAid all-purpose kitchen shears are some of the best scissors to have around your home. I have multiple pairs placed throughout the house because we use them for just about everything! These shears are incredibly versatile. In the kitchen, they are great for cutting and prepping all kinds of foods, but their usefulness goes far beyond the kitchen. We also use them to open packages, cut tape, trim wrapping paper, and handle countless other everyday tasks. You name it, these shears can probably do it! I also really like that they are stainless steel and dishwasher safe, making them incredibly easy to clean and maintain. Whenever we use them in the kitchen, we simply put them in the dishwasher, and they are clean and ready to go the next day. The included protective sheath is also a nice feature for safe storage. I’ve been using these shears for years, and they have held up extremely well compared to many competing products I’ve tried. They remain a reliable, versatile tool that I reach for constantly. Highly recommend these KitchenAid shears for any home. Having a pair—or several—around the house is definitely worth it!

By far the best kitchen scissors we have ever had. They have strong sharp blades that cut through grape stalks and infernal plastic packaging, both without an issue. The handles are large enough for our swollenness arthritic fingers to use comfortably.
