Pretty, Easy to Use, Lasting - we love them!
I didn't have a ton of expectations going in to buying these lights. However, I had a couple things that I wanted the lights to accomplish:1) I wanted lights to lighten our stairway at night without having the main lights on.2) I needed something that didn't have to plug in because there wasn't a handy plug near the stairs.3) I wanted to be able to adjust brightness so we could have it dim during sleep hours if we needed to get up for the bathroom or something, but brighter during the evening when we were still awake for aesthetics. The bonus really was the remote control and the other settings. The lights were SUPER easy to install and even come with little things to hold the lights in place if you have (I imagine) stucco walls where the adhesive may have a harder time gripping to (I guess this because stucco never lets me stick anything to those walls - could be wrong and this adhesives great to those walls). Regardless, in case the adhesive isn't enough for your walls, you have added flexible grip things to keep the lights in place. We haven't added them yet and the lights are staying up great all on adhesive alone. The installation of the lights was crazy easy. I just gradually pulled off the adhesive protection as I rolled the lights on the wall. Maybe took me 2 minutes in total.Depending on how often you use the lights, you may go through batteries decently quick. We leave our lights on for probably 8-12 hours every day. We also use rechargeable batteries with these lights as we are regular users of them. In the just over a month that we've had them, with regular use, we've switched out the batteries once. Not too much more to say, these work great for lighting and they look really nice. They would work great as under lighting for cabinets, but these aren't like fairy lights for decoration. They are nice, but I wouldn't say they are for centerpiece decoration or festivities, more background.

Very nice for display case!
VERY warm-colored light. I use mine in a display case, and for that it works just fine. I'm able to snake the strip around the edges of the door so everything is illuminated when shut. Remote works good. I like the different light settings, thought I only use the solid one. I use rechargable batteries with mine, but this thing EATS through batteries. I haven't been able to try out the timer setting because the batteries are dead long before the next time they're ready to come on. With light use, (only turning them on for 3-5 hours a day, 4-5 days a week) I usually have to recharge once a week. Overall satisifed.

Drains Batteries
I purchased this LED light strip and when I received it, I put a set of new batteries in it. I turned it on to make sure it worked and it did as did all the functions. I then turned it off and put it aside until I had time to try placing it where I had planned to put it which was a week later. When I took it back out and turned it on, the lights were so dim that they did not light up enough to illuminate anything.I have purchased other battery operated lights like this in the past and found they did the same thing. It now shows me that basically any battery operated lights that have a remote control are constantly draining the batteries because they are always on searching to a signal from the remote. Now that this has happened again with a completely different type of lighting, I will no longer buy any battery operated lights that also have a remote controlled system.I Do NOT Recommend this item unless you plan on taking out the batteries every time after you use it.

Easy to use
Super easy to use and the cutest lights to add under shelves for an added light!

Meh
The lights worked, the remote worked, and the adhesive stuck. They broke fairly easily, however, so consider where you will be using them. If you have them on a lot, they will eat thru some batteries. They were also on the same signal as my TV remote (Vizio), so keeping them set on the setting I wanted was a bit frustrating. Every time I used my TV remote they went from off to on or from solid white to flashing color if already on (neighbors probably thought I was throwing a lot of parties they weren't invited to). The timer to turn them off automatically was nice.

Peel the blue backing only!
For those who are struggling with the adhesive: all this is is double-sided tape. Peel back the non-sticky backing layer and you’ll find a sticky surface. It looks at first like you peel the entire strip off but you’re meant to remove only the blue layer. The white rubbery layer is adhesive on both sides. The problem here is that the sticky layer peels off of the LED strip too easily. I can’t imagine that the adhesive will last very long so be aware that someday it’s probably going to dry out and your lights will fall.General review: this is pretty neat. I’m using this to light the interior of a large scale model I’m working on and this is a really flexible and easy way to do so. The included remote is really handy as it has individual buttons for each light setting. The color of the LEDs is nice and warm, not at all that harsh blue-white “daylight” that many white LEDs use. There are 10 levels of brightness available via the included remote. I am not sure if the electronics box needs to be in line of sight to work, but I’m hoping it’s not too limiting in that regard since I want to bury this box inside a display stand.I find it strange that the “steady on” setting is the last of 8. Seems more logical to have that first…?Also interesting to note: not only can you sit this to length, but you can separate lengths with wire by soldering on the copper spots in the cut area. Just strip off the clear rubbery layer by the + and - symbols so the small copper connection areas are bare.

Very delicate
I was putting these lights up (thought they worked great) but as soon as I got to the end of the strand they ripped and the whole strand stopped working. I am hoping to receive a replacement because I think they work well for what I need. They are far more delicate than anticipated.
