---4.5 Stars---I recently had to drive cross-country and just bought these on a whim. I knew that I was going to need my phone as a GPS for certain portions of the trip, and this made all the difference. I put one mat literally on my steering wheel facing me, so I could easily follow my phone's GPS without getting distracted. I put another mat on the passenger side dashboard (facing the passenger though) so they could watch movies on their tablet.It is a very effective product, leaving absolutely no residue on either the phone or the dashboard itself. Usually the phone stays in place well, but you have to push it down hard (I inadvertently ended up honking at times due to the location).The only problem so far is that when removing my phone, the mat starts to slightly come off of the dashboard as well. The whole mat has never come off, at the most half of it. But it's a small price to pay for such great functionality.

We had our for about a week now. We use it to stop our old GPS stand from sliding around everywhere. It has a super good grip. It hasn't warn out enough yet for me to test if washing it really restores its stickiness, but I will update it if I get a chance too.UPDATE 7/25: So I was really enjoying this product. Then summer rolled around. Where I live it get between 90*F and 105*F or more. When it reached those temperatures, this thing melted and started to drip down my dashboard. I cleaned it off when it cooled down, and it left a bit of residue. If you live in an area were weather stay low 90's or lower, this product works great. Yet if that is not the case, this will not help unless you bring it inside your house every time you're done driving. Not sure it will survive in the glove compartment either. It came with two, but I think I lost my second. So when I buy a replacement, I'm going to look for a higher quality replacement.

UPDATE 1- 2014 I wanted to order another "Twin Pack" for back up. Only got one! If this happens to you and I have seen the reviews from other customers only getting one, complain to Amazon to have these fraud sellers kicked off Amazon. Doing nothing allows them to continue to rip people off and give the other good sellers a shadow over their good work. Otherwise a great product if you get what you paid for.These mats are super sticky. I use mine to hold a radar detector on top my dash instead of the windshield. Does a great job of it!Do not purchase from seller "Zehui" as he only sends one and has no excuse for his fraud. Two pack means a package of two. What is not to understand. Amazon should stop this seller from deceiving Amazon buyers.

Might be perfect for some uses, too sticky for me.These are so sticky that they stick to anything that you put on them, so whenever I pick something up, I have to peel (and pry) the mat off and put it back down.My car center console has a large flat area and everything you put there slides back and forth, so I ordered these (and received 2, as the title says, as of 1/2/14), but I don't really want to peel these mats off of my cell phone, keys, purse, wallet, etc. every single time I pick them up, so I'm going to order something else.

I put this on the dash of my VW Passat to hold my shades and it's never failed to hold them without leaving any sticky residue, UNTIL the summer hit! I park my car outside in full sun, and the black dash heated up the Magic Mat and simply melted it. The mat is now a pile of sticky black goo that I have to get off the dashboard, sunglasses, and my hands... beware! Apart from this, it's a great product.

This is amazing. Very sticky. It doesn't stick to the dash quite as well as objects stick to it, but it doesn't slide around and whatever I put on it stays. I just can't put the whole phone on this or it pulls the mat off the dash.I have two, one in my car and one in my truck. They are great for holding the radar detector in place. I don't want it on the Windshield.

The description says twin-pack but when delivered there was only one inside the package. The package arrived on time (Christmas Eve) so that was great, but it was completley ripped open acrosss the bottom with only a small piece of tape still intact. I got the package directly from the delivery guy so not sure what happened. The product is great, looks great, works great, but there is only one not two. Still a better price than in stores for one so I am not put out or anything.

Definitely holds your phone (and probably a small elephant) securely to your dash, but man... it took off the back of my son's phone when we tried to remove it. Then it didn't want to come off the dash. I'm sure with time it will probably "relax" a bit and it didn't leave any marks on the car which was good. I'd recommend but don't expect to be able to extricate your device while driving.
