The look and feel of Windows 8 is very different from previous operating systems from Microsoft. Windows 8 can be a bit confusing, especially if you are a Windows 8 beginner! My Windows 8 tips guide will provide you with the essentials to get you off the ground and enjoying everything Windows 8 has to offer you! Here's a glimpse inside the Windows 8 Tips guide: Getting the Ball Rolling with Windows 8 Understanding the Charms Bar Opening the Control Panel Using Quick Access Displaying All Apps Closing an App Shutting It Down Shut Down in a Single Click Using Semantic Zoom Easy Access to Startup Items Sync a Microsoft Account Going Directly to the Desktop ..and so much more! Don't let Windows 8 overwhelm you! Grab a copy of my Windows 8: 51 Essential Windows 8 Tips for Beginners book today! You'll be a Windows 8 guru when you're done! Review: A Very Good Guide for Windows 8 Newbies (like me!) - After getting a new laptop a couple of weeks ago, I can now understand all the grumbling and complaining online about Windows 8. Why MS decided to FIX something that 'wasn't broken" IE: Windows 7, is a mystery but I guess they have to keep coming out with new products to keep the cash rolling in. What I've found so far with Windows 8 is just a lot of ways to waste time, trying to find things that SHOULD be easily accessible but no longer aren't. I thought a Kindle guide on the topic might help and I'm so glad I picked this one. Author Aubrey Mitchell has done a great job explaining the basics of Windows 8. I appreciate the easy navigation of finding a particular tip or tips in this book, from the TOC. And the color screen shots throughout the book make it so much easier to follow along, rather than just text instructions. I'm still in learning mode with all this right now but slowly but surely and thanks in part to this guide, I now think I might be able to ace Windows 8 before long and get back to my own works in progress! ;-) Thanks to the author for creating this much needed and appreciated resource book. Definitely a keeper! Geraldine Helen Hartman author of: Third Chapter, Second Chance and the Haiku Reflections series. Review: Three Stars - Pretty simplistic. Adds little to Window's Help function. Save your money to buy a more comprehensive book.

Windows 8 Was Confusing, But Not Anymore!
The update to Windows 8 was very hard for me to adjust to. I don't know why they had to make things so much different than the previous versions. When I kept finding myself stuck in the simple tasks, I decided to purchase this Windows 8 Tips for Beginners book. I'm so glad I did. It was easy to read and follow. I would have paid more for this information!

Very scant information, good perhaps for total neophytes or new comers to the Windows operating system. You can easily find all this stuff in Windows Help (and much more!).
